The summer is over and so is The InBetween TV show on NBC. The drama series, which ran from May until August, has been cancelled and won’t be returning for season two next year.
A psychic police procedural, The InBetween stars Harriet Dyer, Paul Blackthorne, Justin Cornwell, Anne-Marie Johnson, Cindy Luna, Chad James Buchanan, Andres Joseph, Michael B. Silver, and Sean Bulger. The paranormal drama centers on Cassie Bedford (Dyer), who is gifted with abilities she often considers a curse. Cassie has unbidden visions of events past and future and is also approached by spirits who need her help in some way. She gets drawn into the cases her foster father, Seattle Police detective Tom Hackett (Blackthorne), works with his new partner, former FBI profiler and LAPD detective Damien Asante (Cornwell).
The first season of The InBetween averaged a 0.40 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.57 million viewers. Of the peacock network’s seven summer series, The InBetween ranked in last place in the demo and nearly last place in viewers (just about Hollywood Game Night).
The show’s 10th and final episode aired on August 14th and left fans with a cliffhanger that seems unlikely to be resolved.

Yes.. i really enjoyed the in between.. sad it isn’t returning.. looking for the cast in other places now..
I could hardly wait for the 2nd season , its was quite an exciting show to watch and i don’t think it got enough if any advertising ,I don’t watch to much TV shows because they suck… any more chicago shows??? there are 3 in a row on one night, like please any more med, law, fire shows please….lol Oh well guess i’ll be watching more netflix what a damn shame.
I can’t believe that you are not having the in between come back for a second season you always have these wonderful movies TV series and then you end up canceling them for some ridiculous show that people in my age group and older could care less about. I guess you will lose a dollar in your bank account so it is not worth the trouble! You suck as a network. Everyone you ask for feedback would agree.
This is deeply disappointing. It’s very irritating when a show is cancelled, leaving everything in limbo. It would be nice if they cleaned up storylines and then end the show. We get immersed which is what the networks want, then they poke a hole in the condom. Thanks for nothing
No! This is my favorite show.
As usual another good show cancelled while other shows keep getting renewed. This was a great show with a very interesting storyline. I guess people would rather watch those reality shows because there are so few of them
It figures NBC would cancel a good quality show. If they had given it a chance by granting season 2 I think it would have taken off to be a hit like Medium was..but oh no they went and axed it but kept all that other crap on TV. NBC you suck. Time to stop watching that network.
Of course, as expected, another wonderful show bites the dust. It gets harder to keep hope alive when picking shows to invest ones time & energy into.

Aaah! That truly sucks!! Loved all the characters and was looking forward to its return. Once again, the great shows get cancelled and a bunch of crappy ones remain! Aaargh! Time to switch to Netflix et al!
I agree, it does suck NBC canceled the InBetween. It was a good show, and I never missed an episode. I actually looked forward to it every week. But knowing NBC and the other networks they fail to give good shows a chance and cancel them instead. The major networks have been doing this for years and I am tired of them doing this to good shows. Bummer!! I loved this show. Another good one bites the dust. So frustrating.
This was the kind of series that really needed to be watched in a marathon format. Not the least bit surprised it was cancelled due to low ratings.
It was an awesome series. Another awesome series ending with a cliffhanger. Too many boring shows on tv and then they cancel all the worth while ones
Yes! I would have definitely watched a second season of the In Between. I’m so disappointed to hear that it was cancelled.
