TV show description:
A sitcom set in Garrison, Colorado, The Ranch follows the dysfunctional Bennett family on their Iron River Ranch. Each season of 20 episodes is split into two 10-episode parts, and Netflix primarily ignores season numbering entirely, by using the sequential “part” numbers, instead.
The multi-camera comedy centers Colt (Kutcher). After a fifteen-year absence, including a short, failed semi-pro football career, Colt returns home to help his big brother Jameson “Rooster” (Masterson) and father Beau (Elliott) run the ranch.
Maggie (Winger) is Colt and Rooster’s mother and owns the local bar. A free-spirit who also grows weed, Maggie is separated from Beau and lives in a trailer behind her business.
Rooster is the son who remained home and worked the family business, while his big shot brother was off living it up, so there is tension between them, when Colt returns. The two do have some things in common — particularly drinking and womanizing.
A prickly, Vietnam Vet, Beau has run the ranch since the death of his own father. Politicians aggravate him just about as much as his sons’ irresponsible tendencies.
The series highlights these flawed people’s relationships with one another as well as with the other people in their lives.
Series Finale:
Episode #80 — Take Me Home, Country Roads
In the series finale, Luke opens up about his struggles, Maggie throws one last Christmas party at the bar, and Colt gives Beau a heartwarming gift.
First aired: January 24, 2020.
What do you think? Do you like The Ranch TV show? Should it have ended or been renewed for a fifth season on Netflix?
Please keep the Ranch going. I love the cast and all you girls are hot! But Sam your like a dad to some of us. I do think Rooster is coming back. Netflix left it wide open for him to do so, now it’s time.
Love this show, but it needs Danny Masterson back. Funny as heck. Keep it going
Kill it!
Not even the same show without Masterson, Kutcher is not funny enough even acting out the same role since a teen he still can’t pull it off well enough. To hell with it!
Being old woman like Sam and teenie girls like Kutcher so if thats enough audience for Net to keep it around well so be it but’ I wont miss it any. Like so many others it was a great show before Me too hit it.
Please continue with The Ranch. Great show and great cast.
Yes please continue The Ranch it was an amazing series
i think the ranch is one of the best shows on Netflix, please bring back rooster, love him, sam Elliot, super hot
It is a good show and the actors are great, Hate to see it go
Please keep this show going, the cast is wonderful and the show deals with real life. My husband and I love it. The gun shot is not the way to end any show. Leave us all worrying about the family.
I love the show please continue it
Yes! Please continue. Most entertaining and real. Besides, who can pass on Sam Elliot?
Yes please keep it going haven’t enjoyed a series like this since Roseann and the Big Bang Theory! As long as Sam Elliot stays people will be devouring it for years to come!
Rooster can always come back played by someone else that resembles the old one but a little older and without the beard or more fur LoL.
Love this show! I’m not sad that Danny Masterson is gone, I appreciate that the show chose to go on without him. I am a BIG Fan of Sam Elliott! I love his “rough but big softy on the inside” personality and the relationship that he has with Ashton in this series. I really hope this Series will continue!
Love this show. Adding Dax Shepard was a good play. Hope were not going to be left hanging.
Loved this series. It had so much to offer from a place of young to the old seasoned perspectives. The writers deserve praise for how well written it is. Good job Netflix.
The series was destined to be cancelled after the Kutcher/Masterson duo was broken up. The whole show which has an excellent cast fed off of those two. To make up for the loss writers turned it in to a wanna be Yellowstone show. The show lost it’s balance. I did enjoy Ranch more than any other however there was nowhere else to go with it.
