TV show description:
A sitcom set in Garrison, Colorado, The Ranch follows the dysfunctional Bennett family on their Iron River Ranch. Each season of 20 episodes is split into two 10-episode parts, and Netflix primarily ignores season numbering entirely, by using the sequential “part” numbers, instead.
The multi-camera comedy centers Colt (Kutcher). After a fifteen-year absence, including a short, failed semi-pro football career, Colt returns home to help his big brother Jameson “Rooster” (Masterson) and father Beau (Elliott) run the ranch.
Maggie (Winger) is Colt and Rooster’s mother and owns the local bar. A free-spirit who also grows weed, Maggie is separated from Beau and lives in a trailer behind her business.
Rooster is the son who remained home and worked the family business, while his big shot brother was off living it up, so there is tension between them, when Colt returns. The two do have some things in common — particularly drinking and womanizing.
A prickly, Vietnam Vet, Beau has run the ranch since the death of his own father. Politicians aggravate him just about as much as his sons’ irresponsible tendencies.
The series highlights these flawed people’s relationships with one another as well as with the other people in their lives.
Series Finale:
Episode #80 — Take Me Home, Country Roads
In the series finale, Luke opens up about his struggles, Maggie throws one last Christmas party at the bar, and Colt gives Beau a heartwarming gift.
First aired: January 24, 2020.
What do you think? Do you like The Ranch TV show? Should it have ended or been renewed for a fifth season on Netflix?
I am truly going to miss this series. I have always been Sam Elliott’s biggest fan. Was so happy to see him back, love him. I have watched everything he’s ever been in. The Ranch is so great, showing the struggles in ranching and in life. The Comedy is so funny. I have grown to appreciate each crew member and their roles. Wasn’t crazy about how much the “F” word was used. But, after watching this show, dropping it at the right time can be funny. But, you would need to know, I do not cuss, so that’s saying a… Read more »
I agree with everyone else, the show hit’s home for a lot of good people Thank you for that, However I along with everyone else think that it should keep going.
They should keep it going
To see the Ranch end is truly unfortunate. It had comedy , and drama that families face everyday. What the ranch was able to do through tv was bring real life struggles and triumphs to every home in America. It taught life lessons and family values. And the final episode was truly a defining moment in which it was all brought back to where it started, which is home. Home is the people in it not where you live. So please consider bringing back America’s home with additional seasons of The Ranch!!!!
one of the GREATEST shows i have watched in a long time, gonna hate watching the last episode, well done on this show nextflix
Great show! I can’t believe it is ending. These episodes remind me of my family. They also remind me of simpler times and just good old family fun. Please bring more seasons back to Netflix. It would be nice to see Rooster return too!

Please bring this back its a hilarious realistic comedy show that we can relate to
The Ranch is the best show I have ever watched and I watched every one of them, real sad to see it go, it hits home with me in many ways, to many to say. It is a real home program. I never used the f-word that much but it is common language these days, but to say it added to the show, maybe yes. I am 75 and it was my era. Especially after being in Colorado, and having thru those towns.
Sure wish is would come back.
