TV show description:
A sitcom set in Garrison, Colorado, The Ranch follows the dysfunctional Bennett family on their Iron River Ranch. Each season of 20 episodes is split into two 10-episode parts, and Netflix primarily ignores season numbering entirely, by using the sequential “part” numbers, instead.
The multi-camera comedy centers Colt (Kutcher). After a fifteen-year absence, including a short, failed semi-pro football career, Colt returns home to help his big brother Jameson “Rooster” (Masterson) and father Beau (Elliott) run the ranch.
Maggie (Winger) is Colt and Rooster’s mother and owns the local bar. A free-spirit who also grows weed, Maggie is separated from Beau and lives in a trailer behind her business.
Rooster is the son who remained home and worked the family business, while his big shot brother was off living it up, so there is tension between them, when Colt returns. The two do have some things in common — particularly drinking and womanizing.
A prickly, Vietnam Vet, Beau has run the ranch since the death of his own father. Politicians aggravate him just about as much as his sons’ irresponsible tendencies.
The series highlights these flawed people’s relationships with one another as well as with the other people in their lives.
Series Finale:
Episode #80 — Take Me Home, Country Roads
In the series finale, Luke opens up about his struggles, Maggie throws one last Christmas party at the bar, and Colt gives Beau a heartwarming gift.
First aired: January 24, 2020.
What do you think? Do you like The Ranch TV show? Should it have ended or been renewed for a fifth season on Netflix?
I just ran across this series in the last month or so. It’s cheap, campy, and all the things you are supposed to dislike but then it has so many elements that you are supposed to like as well. Frankly, I like both the cheap and the touching components of the series. It is worth definitely worth the watch and is worth keeping around as long as the cast is into and have stories to tell.
Please, please , please.continue The Ranch…..it is one of a kind. We love it!
Just watched all 5 series. Love it!
Just watched all 5 seasons….love it
it should be continued. I love it .
This show is GREAT! I hope it continues to air. We laugh so much and even cry some too!
I love the show! My husband and I watch it together. We have laughed, cried and loved the family. We will definitely miss Rooster! He just seems to fit the character. Kill Nick off, punk ass. I hope for more seasons to come. I love you Sam Elliott
I agree with this, in Texas the boy’s would take care of Nick!
We have a cattle ranch in Nebraska and our two grown sons got us started watching this show. We adore it and most episodes we can relate to something in it. KEEP IT GOING
I love the show i think it shoould remain going .this has veen a nightly watch for me and my girlfriend we love the constant laughs it provides .
My husband and I love the show. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED about Rooster’s character being written off the show. He has not been proven guilty of anything and it is getting a little much how people can accuse someone of something and they are just GUILTY. This is America and its not right taking away the rights of the accused. I support Danny in his statements. Please bring him back. We love the guy.
Sam Elliot always makes a show work! I’m even warming up to Kruncher! 1st time ever!
Please, DO NOT CANCEL the show!! This is the best tv series I have seen in years. I love the cast. Beau, Colt, Rooster and Joanne are hilarious!! Keep it going, I can’t get enough!! Thank you!!
