What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, The Resident stars Matt Czuchry, Bruce Greenwood, Manish Dayal, Emily VanCamp, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Jane Leeves, and Morris Chestnut. The series follows a group of doctors at Chastain Memorial Hospital, as they face personal and professional challenges on a daily basis. Although its motto is, “Committed to excellence,” the hospital is staffed with human beings, and humans are flawed. In the third season, the doctors are surrounded by new rules and physicians, as Red Rock Mountain Medical takes over the hospital. The staff includes senior resident internist Conrad Hawkins (Czuchry), resident internist Devon Pravesh (Dayal), nurse practitioner Nicolette Nevin (VanCamp), surgical resident Mina Okafor (Wilson), cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. AJ Austin (Warner), orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Kit Voss (Leeves), neurosurgeon Dr. Barrett Cain (Chestnut), and CEO Dr. Randolph Bell (Greenwood).
Season Three Ratings
The third season of The Resident on FOX averaged a 0.73 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.03 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 22% and 20%, respectively. Find out how The Resident stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.

I LOVE this show, and I hope it is renewed for the fourth season, I literally watched all three seasons within NO TIME I was so interested in it!! Please, renew The Resident TV show!!
I enjoy watching The Resident, but I was disappointed when Red Rock was added to the series. The addition of Red Rock has ruined the story line of the good doctors at Chastain. I hope The Resident is renewed only if Red Rock people are eliminated.
The Resident is a great show, just as good, or better, than the medical dramas on major networks. If the ratings are down from Season 2, then move it back to Monday nights. But PLEASE do not cancel. Loyal viewers want to follow the Red Rock takeover and see how Chastain will prevail!
My wife and I love the Resident. We watch 3-4 hours of tv each night and this is one of our favorite shows. The stories are captivating and it has some great characters…

I have all my family & friends watching it too. If the ratings against it are higher, then put it in a time slot against a show with lower ratings. This show has such good actors. It’s not fair to them to cancel it. If this show is cancelled I will never watch another show on FOX.
Definitely would want the Resident renewed for several more seasons. Tired of all the police, fire, law, criminal shows.
Obsessed with this show & would be DEVASTATED if it was cancelled!! Not the “typical” hospital show- ALWAYS something new & exciting keeping me on the edge of my seat, AND coming back EVERY week!

I love this show. My husband and I both watch it. We especially love Conrad. If the ratings are down it’s because you changed it to Tuesday against NCIS, which already has a large audience and it would be hard for any show to go up against NCI S. The Resident’s story line just keeps getting better and better. It has changed so much since the beginning when Dr Bell was the one to hate and now he is one of the good guys. Please have a season 4. My whole housing development watch and love love this show. Please please don’t cx it. We need more accurate medical shows. I’m a retired nurse and hate to see fake med shows. People on deaths door with no IV, No Monitor etc. This show is great just like ER and Chicago Hope and St Elsewhere was. Many actors got their start on those shows.
I love this show I hope it gets renewed. Conrad and Nic are awesome!!
