What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, The Resident stars Matt Czuchry, Bruce Greenwood, Manish Dayal, Emily VanCamp, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Jane Leeves, and Morris Chestnut. The series follows a group of doctors at Chastain Memorial Hospital, as they face personal and professional challenges on a daily basis. Although its motto is, “Committed to excellence,” the hospital is staffed with human beings, and humans are flawed. In the third season, the doctors are surrounded by new rules and physicians, as Red Rock Mountain Medical takes over the hospital. The staff includes senior resident internist Conrad Hawkins (Czuchry), resident internist Devon Pravesh (Dayal), nurse practitioner Nicolette Nevin (VanCamp), surgical resident Mina Okafor (Wilson), cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. AJ Austin (Warner), orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Kit Voss (Leeves), neurosurgeon Dr. Barrett Cain (Chestnut), and CEO Dr. Randolph Bell (Greenwood).
Season Three Ratings
The third season of The Resident on FOX averaged a 0.73 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.03 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 22% and 20%, respectively. Find out how The Resident stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.

My husband and I are very hopeful The Resident will be renewed if for no other reason to find good always outweighs evil and Morris Chestnut’s role needs that lesson quickly. Please consider renewal of the show. Its clean, well written and a welcome choice over some of the comedies.

Show is awesome just like 911 but the problem is they go on all these “breaks” and take forever to come back

I have been watching for this show! I love it. Please do not cancel it! I just hate it when good shows are cancelled! The cast, chemistry and stories are great.
Please keep the Resident on tv. It comes closest to what probably really happens in hospitals. I was happy to see that Conrad found a way back into Chastain again to watch out for the patients. I hope that Conrad really takes down Red Rock.
This is OUR favorite show. Can’t wait for it to air each week. We’ve grown to love all the characters! My fav is Dr. A. J. Austin (M. J. Warner). He plays his role to perfection. If FOX really wants it’s ratings to soar, then give it a good night, like maybe Wednesday or Monday.

The Resident is my favorite TV show!!! I love the characters and how they have evolved over the seasons. And the good vs evil keeps me guessing what will happen next. Of course I want integrity and goodness to win out but the journey is captivating. I look forward to it every week! Please renew for Season 4 and many more.!!!
We love the Resident. It’s a show to watch together and it probably lost viewers when changed to Tues. PLEASE renew for 4th season. This is a great character driven show that is clever,suspenseful, and several cuts above other shows on network TV.
