What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, The Resident stars Matt Czuchry, Bruce Greenwood, Manish Dayal, Emily VanCamp, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Jane Leeves, and Morris Chestnut. The series follows a group of doctors at Chastain Memorial Hospital, as they face personal and professional challenges on a daily basis. Although its motto is, “Committed to excellence,” the hospital is staffed with human beings, and humans are flawed. In the third season, the doctors are surrounded by new rules and physicians, as Red Rock Mountain Medical takes over the hospital. The staff includes senior resident internist Conrad Hawkins (Czuchry), resident internist Devon Pravesh (Dayal), nurse practitioner Nicolette Nevin (VanCamp), surgical resident Mina Okafor (Wilson), cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. AJ Austin (Warner), orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Kit Voss (Leeves), neurosurgeon Dr. Barrett Cain (Chestnut), and CEO Dr. Randolph Bell (Greenwood).
Season Three Ratings
The third season of The Resident on FOX averaged a 0.73 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.03 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 22% and 20%, respectively. Find out how The Resident stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.

I love watching g the resident. Have not missed an episode yet. The drama is very close to real life, without all the over the top junk of the rich. Please keep it on.

The Resident – One of the best medical TV shows on television today
In the absence of ‘Code Black’, ‘The Resident’ is the next best thing & having said that, it is one of the few truly entertaining shows around. Each episode takes the viewer on a different path & we never know what to expect except that we will be thoroughly entertained & hanging out for more. Personally, I sincerely hope that at teh conclusion of this season, #3 we’re told that it will be renewed for a fourth. I would get rid of my tv if one more reality show comes on, they are a joke and insult your intelligence
I really don’t want to see the resident cancelled. It’s the best medical show on tv. The story line is great and the people on the show you can connect to
