Is the third season of FOX’s The Resident TV show just what the doctor ordered? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether TV shows are cancelled or renewed. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all of the third season episodes of The Resident here. *Status update below.
A FOX medical drama, The Resident stars Matt Czuchry, Bruce Greenwood, Manish Dayal, Emily VanCamp, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Jane Leeves, and Morris Chestnut. The series follows a group of doctors at Chastain Memorial Hospital, as they face personal and professional challenges on a daily basis. Although its motto is, “Committed to excellence,” the hospital is staffed with human beings, and humans are flawed. In the third season, the doctors are surrounded by new rules and physicians, as Red Rock Mountain Medical takes over the hospital. The staff includes senior resident internist Conrad Hawkins (Czuchry), resident internist Devon Pravesh (Dayal), nurse practitioner Nicolette Nevin (VanCamp), surgical resident Mina Okafor (Wilson), cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. AJ Austin (Warner), orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Kit Voss (Leeves), neurosurgeon Dr. Barrett Cain (Chestnut), and CEO Dr. Randolph Bell (Greenwood).
What do you think? Which season three episodes of The Resident TV series do you rate as wonderful, terrible, or somewhere between? Should FOX cancel or renew The Resident for a fourth season? Don’t forget to vote, and share your thoughts, below.
*5/19/20 update: The Resident has been renewed for a fourth season on FOX.
Great show! You love and hate some of the characters so the actors do an excellent job. Please keep this one around. Look forward to it each week.
Great show
Even though I know a lot of Doctors and Nurse’s never wanted this show aired, I love it!!! It lets me see Amanda from Revenge and Carey from The Good Wife again. I like their sometimes unorthodox ways of treating patients. What I don’t like is Morris Chestnut’s arrogance. I’m not used to seeing him in a role like that. Especially when he played a Forensic Pathologist in the Fox series, Rosewood.
We LOVE this show! Can’t wait every week to see it! Please keep this show coming for many more seasons to come!
The resident has really picked up the last season and start of this one Logan Kim and Maurice Chestnut play awesome role in this I feel like reaching into tv screen and choking them both they play arrogant mean money grabbers and I love it. Can’t stop watching it please keep it on please. Otherwise I won’t have anyone to choke lol.
Haha! Us too! Love this show! Like the bad guys as long as the good guys win!
I watch this show weekly and love seeing the different personalities and lives coming together to put patients first even despite the new, greedy blood sucking administration. The show is great and it is an enjoyment to soak in weekly.
This is my favorite of all the shows that are kind of new! I cannot wait to see it each week; good thing it comes on early in the week. There is so much that can be done; all kinds of story lines. I absolutely love Matt C and I loved him in the Good Wife! This program has love, both familial and romantic; it has funny moments and sad moments and, best of all, it has intrique. Intrigue? Yes, that’s the spelling! I cannot WAIT to see how Matt C and Malcolm Warner (the guy that played on the… Read more »
