NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

I am so disappointed The Village was cancelled!!!!
I hope Netflix or Amazon picks it up. Soooo many unanswered story lines. And honestly there is not many feel good, morally educating shows on. I could actually watch this with all my kids up and in the room. Which now a days doesn’t happen much. Really sad to see it didn’t get renewed. NBC didn’t give it much of chance though starting it mid season 🙁
NO!!!! I LOVE this show! The characters are real and relatable. This is real life and the show oozed with love, compassion, friendship, loyalty, trust, honesty, values , mercy, Grace, and honor. And you can’t find all this in any other show. Shame on you NBC.
This was a great show . The kind that makes you feel good. We need more shows like this one. Instead of all the evil and violence. Please bring it back

It was one of the few network TV shows I really liked and would of continued watching. There’s not one sitcom I can stand and most of their schedule is reality TV which is not for me.

It was a great show and had told several ppl to binge watch it to catch up for season 2. Why is it when a great show comes out they cancel it?! Really upsetting!! So many different dramas n all good story lines!
Absolutely hate that NBC cancelled The Village. NBC should have given it a chance it would have been a big hit in time. It was only one of a handful of shows on their network worth watching.
The Village was a great show. Loved to see friendships and people bonding… a good feeling. Too many crime shows and reality TV… this show was a welcome change. NBC got this completely wrong when they canceled this one!
