NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.
What do you think? Do you like The Village TV show? Are you sorry that it’s been cancelled. Would you have watched season two on NBC?
This breaks my heart!!! This show was seriously the best show on tv and I liked it more than This Is Us I’m mind blown really!!!
This is one of the best shows on TV and it’s cancelled? I can’t believe this! It’s another This Is Us if you would just give it a chance. If you don’t reconsider, I hope another network picks it up! Such a loss!
This is very disappointing ,we loved this show. This show is real….the cast was excellent, beautiful and made you feel like they were family. So sad…shame on who ever cancels this show”.
I would love love love there to be a second season of the village. It was such a great show I got hooked right when I started watching on Hulu and finished the entire season in a week! Please bring it back!
Please do not cancel The Village. It’s an excellent show and I think you’ll find that if renewed, the audience will grow larger.
Please back this show! One of my favorites…
Loved The Village, so sorry that it won’t be returning. Maybe another network will pick it up, fingers crossed!
I am so disappointed about The Village not having s second season. I absolutely love this show, one of my favorite shows on tv right now. I hope they will bring the show back.
Please bring The Village back!!!! I know some many people who started watching at end of season!
I am so bummed. This was such a good show. I need to know what happens to baby Cooper and Patricia. So many unanswered questions. So upset. Lease change your mind!
This show was one of the best on TV. Me and many of my friends are so upset it was cancelled. We all cried through the whole last episode.
I hope another network picks it up!
I am SOOOO heartbroken that The Village was cancelled!!!! Like everyone else said, it’s a feel good real life show. It’s so needed in this time of massive negativity. PLEASE bring this back ♀️
This was my favorite show !! I can not believe it is cancelled !! Seems like every time I like a show it gets cancelled !! I hate reality tv and we need more shows like this one !! It was wonderful !! I don’t know who makes the decisions but poor decision !! The story lines were happy and sad and so much like real life. My 24 year old daughter and her boyfriend couldn’t wait for the next week to see what happened and now we are all disappointed that we won’t be seeing it in the fall.
When I read that The Village was cancelled I was so disappointed. This is a feel good show, with real life issues. Please consider renewing the series on NBC, we are anxiously awaiting its return.
I am so sorry to hear you have cancelled The Village.. That show was so real and honest & made me feel really good because everyone in the building was like family even though they were all different races. It represented what the world should be like.
I loved the show. Looked forward to it.
e think it over and consider keeping it on.
