What’s This TV Show About?
An NBC drama, The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.

Will NBC cancel or renew The Village for season two? I think it could go either way. Right out of the gate, the ratings weren’t very good, especially for a series that followed NBC’s This Is Us drama. However, the ratings remained pretty consistent and saw some improvement when it was moved to an earlier timeslot. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. Just binge watched series 1 here in the uk and loved it …hope they do a second series
Please do not cancel The Village. All the characters are interesting and well-acted. As a 76 year old, I enjoy the multi-generational story lines which are hard to find , and most of my friends complain about the same thing – no shows about us or people we can relate to. Many TV ads are for older people but not many shows, so if we aren’t watching the “senior” ads are not earning their keep, are they? Keep The Village and please pass this on to someone who can do something about it. Thank you.
