A dramatic series, the Tommy TV show stars Edie Falco, Michael Chernus, Adelaide Clemens, Thomas Sadoski, Russell G. Jones, Olivia Lucy Phillip, Joseph Lyle Taylor, and Vladimir Caamaño. The series revolves around a former high-ranking NYPD officer who becomes the first female chief of police for Los Angeles. Abigail “Tommy” Thomas (Falco) uses unflinching honesty and hardball tactics to keep social, political, and national security issues from hindering effective law enforcement in the Southland.

I love this show, for a cop show it has no murder, no fights and no guns which is what people want. This show plays the psychological and reality component of a woman in high position, meaning a man’s job and she is a lesbian . Great show to finally explore and publicize. Please return Tommy for a second season and publicize it more. All the actors are good and true to their script and the writers are making the show real.

This show is boring. Just another cop show. Doesn’t compete with Chicago PD, SWAT, and has lower ratings than Deputy, which was a good show

This show deserves a second season. Edie Falco is a terrific actor. I wish she could loosen up and show more emotion. It sure shows how damn sexist & homophobic the world still is.
She has plenty of emotion. It’s the emotion of the experienced and mature, which is what the role calls for – irregardless of the sex of the actor. This is not a hormone driven girly girl role, it’s a powerful CEO type role. She shows more emotion without words or tears than she gets credit for. A strong female lead is what she is without having to beat the drum that’s she’s a woman “doing a man’s job”. Please… she’s a strong person doing a job that requires a strong person.
