Animal Planet is living the life. The Vet Life TV series premieres Saturday, June 4, 2016, at 9:00pm ET/PT. The docu-series follows Houston veterinarians Dr. Diarra Blue, Dr. Aubrey Ross and Dr. Michael Lavigne, balancing their newly-opened animal hospital with family life. It was previously announced as Texas Vets.
Animal Planet says:
VETERINARIANS JUGGLE FAMILY, ANIMALS AND BUSINESS ON ANIMAL PLANET’S “THE VET LIFE” PREMIERING SATURDAY, JUNE 4 AT 9PM ET/PT
Equal parts laughter and drama, THE VET LIFE follows veterinarians, Dr. Diarra Blue, Dr. Aubrey Ross and Dr. Michael Lavigne, as they navigate the balancing act of running their newly-opened animal hospital while managing the everyday stress of raising their families alongside their wives. The series captures the doctors’ home life with their spouses, children, parents, in-laws, pets and large group of friends.
The three doctors developed a strong friendship while attending Tuskegee University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and reconvened in Las Vegas where they began their careers and honed their surgery skills. After years of paying their dues, they decided to fulfill their dreams of owning their own practice and set their sights on Dr. Ross’ hometown of Houston. In 2015, Cy-Fair Animal Hospital opened its doors to service the community and their pets.
The veterinarians are dedicated to providing the best care for their patients – both human and animal. Dr. Blue’s personality keeps them smiling and in good spirits while Dr. Ross keeps the clinic running during an often hectic work day. Dr. Lavigne is a skilled surgeon who provides balance. With a combined experience of over 22 years and a shared love of animals, Dr. Diarra Blue, Dr. Aubrey Ross and Dr. Michael Lavigne thrive to educate the public about the importance of preventative medicine in order to extend the longevity of the human animal bond.

I really enjoy the show on Saturday, hope it continues. One question a lady came in with a cocoa lab with blood problem. It was way over weight and was surprised the doctor didn’t tell her he needed to lose weight and should watch food in take and more exercise for a longer doggy life. Just wondering why this wasn’t suggested?

I really like The Vet Life. It is full of heart and humor. These guys are an inspiration and examples of the true Black Lives Matter.
This show is great entertainment for the entire family. It’s informative about animal care, family and friendship. Thank you for give us some intelligent TV.
I record all of “The Vets Life” shows since it started. I Love It! The only thing that concerns me……and I ask this sort of “tongue in cheek” yet…Do they not have at least ONE token White friend? At these family/friends get together there isn’t even one white person or other cultures included. Because of our country’s racial tensions it would be great to see other cultures included in their tight circle of friends. It would be a great way to share cultural values. They are such nice people and I know their clients come from all cultures. I know… Read more »
It’s a good show they don’t have to have a token white friend. They went to school together and they bonded together. No one else. Why do they have to pretend to do something they don’t do.
A token friend is not needed or warranted. Why? Are you making this kind of request on other shows where other races dominate the screen? How does that look asking for token Asians, Latinos, Blacks, or Pacific Islanders? I know you said this in a sort of tongue and cheek manner but it really was not.
