TV show description:
Texas Ranger Cordell “Cord” Walker (Chuck Norris) believes in fighting crime with his bare hands.
Raised by his Native American Uncle, Ray Firewalker (Floyd Red Crow Westerman), and having served in the Vietnam War, the Dallas-based Walker employs a physical approach when apprehending criminals. He is relentless in capturing those that break the law and often uses his martial arts skills to take offenders into custody.
Walker’s style is the opposite of his partner and friend, James “Jimmy” Trivette (Clarence Gilyard, Jr.), a former Dallas Cowboy who prefers to use more modern-day techniques in order to investigate crime.
Equally unsure of Walker’s tactics is the Tarrant County Assistant District Attorney, Alexandra “Alex” Cahill (Sheree J. Wilson). Though Alex doesn’t always approve of his approach to law enforcement, she can’t help but be attracted to him.
Also supporting him is retired Ranger C.D. Parker (Noble Willingham), who advises Walker and provides him respite in his saloon/restaurant known as C.D.’s Bar and Grill.
