What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the Starz premium cable channel, The White Princess stars Jodie Comer as Princess Elizabeth of York and Jacob Collins-Levy as King Henry VII. The Starz cast also includes Essie Davis, Joanne Whalley, Michelle Fairley, Suki Waterhouse, Rebecca Benson, Rhys Connah, Caroline Goodall, Kenneth Cranham, and Vincent Regan. Beginning in 1485, the series tells the end of the saga of England’s War of the Roses and follows the rise of the House of Tudor, as well as the stormy marriage of Elizabeth of York to Henry Tudor.

Telly’s Take
Airing on Sunday nights, The White Princess TV show is drawing decent ratings for a Starz series. The cable channel has been calling it a “limited series” but it seems more like a mini-series. I suspect there will only be one season of eight episodes but, if the numbers are good enough, who knows? I’ll keep an eye on the ratings. I’m totally pissed off… I absolutely loved this show
I can’t believe White Princess won’t be returning for a second season. C’mon – you can’t leave us hanging like is. There’s so much more story to tell.
Renew it
I wish there would be a second season. The series deviates from history and also has some historical facts, they are just “Hollywooded” up. I thought the series was excellent and made me reread British History as well as other historical novels.
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that Starz would do this. They did the same thing with the White Queen and Reign. Now it’s canceling a season 2 of the white princess. If this is what this channel is going to continue doing with programming I guess I’m just going to have to stop getting involved in their series
I feel the same
I am very disappointed that there won’t be a season 2 of the white princess. I would have very much liked to watch a continuation. I will hope that there will be something with another title possibly a third in the series that might begin where the white princess left off. I enjoyed that show very much
I am really upset to see that there will not be a season 2. I really was looking forward to it. I wanted to have it finish out the storyline and show the curse happen to her children. Please reconsider this cancellation. I recorded and watched every episode of this mini-series.
The White Princess is a wonderful series.
The story and acting of all cast members is superb. I tell everyone I know to watch it. I think it’s even better than the Tudors, which I also loved. I hope they do not cancel Season 2. It would be a total disappointment!
This is so sad just when I found something interesting to watch on my Sunday nights and things were getting so good…. Perhaps a revival on Netflix?
I can’t believe that there was only 8 episodes. Also to be left in such a manner. I found the tv series quite different from the books by phillipa Gregory and whilstvI admired and pitied Elizabeth in the books I found I did not like her in the tv programe. But please please make a series 2!!! Fantastic show.
Needs to return. I look forward to each new show.
My daughter(19) and I(38) loved the white queen and the white princess we looked forward to Sunday nights together. I hope starz changes their minds and brings it back for season 2 I love the story and the time with my daughter.
I so enjoyed The White Princess and even watched the whole thing twice. Historically it is quite on the mark. A few additions and changes but not many. The way it ended left a lot to explore and write for another series. Maggie and Richard’s wife alone with their anger toward Lizzie would certainly be enough to have a series 2. I really hope they consider the audience that really enjoyed this show and the historical aspect.
The White Princess is a rivoting and powerful drama . We absolutley loved it . The characters are dynamic . The acting superb . Really brought history to life . This show always left us wanting more . The White Princess deserves a second season . Please more White Princess . PLEASE !!!
