Today, comic actor Colin Mochrie tweeted that his old show Whose Line Is It Anyway? was going to be making a comeback. Mochrie didn’t offer any details beyond that.
Buzzerblog reports that there have been rumors of Warner Bros. reviving the series. Their sources say that the new season will tape in April and the episodes are being produced for “The Warner Bros. Channel.” It’s assumed that means that they will air on TheWB.com.
Actress and comedienne Aisha Tyler is rumored to be the new host (replacing Drew Carey) and Mochrie, Ryan Stiles, and others from the original show will be returning.
Whose Line began as an improv show in the UK. The ABC version ran for eight seasons and 220 episodes, from August 1998 until December 2007.
UPDATE: The revived show will air on The CW this summer.
What do you think? Would you like to see new episodes of Whose Line? Would you watch them online or prefer to see them on television?
I would love to see them on television again! The ratings would be huge and I would be much happier.
OH MY GOD YES SO MUCH YES
