What’s This TV Show About?
A cutting edge crime drama airing on the CBS television network, Wisdom of the Crowd stars Jeremy Piven, Richard T. Jones, Natalia Tena, Monica Potter, Blake Lee, Abigail F. Cowen, and Jake Matthews. After his daughter Mia (Cowen) is killed, Silicon Valley entrepreneur Jeffrey Tanner (Piven) sets out to design Sophe, an online platform for real-time, crowdsourced crime solving. In his fixation to find his child’s killer, Tanner is motivated by the idea that a million minds are better than one. He recruits a crack team and pins all his hopes on harnessing the “wisdom of the crowd,” in order to solve Mia’s murder and as many others as possible. Meanwhile, Tanner’s ex-wife, Congresswoman Alex Hale (Potter), worries about his obsession. Despite their divorce, their profound grief has forged in them an unbreakable bond.

Telly’s Take
Although it premiered with decent ratings, the numbers have dropped quite a bit. At this point, I suspect that CBS will cancel Wisdom of the Crowd so there won’t be a season two. What do you think? Do you hope the Wisdom of the Crowd TV show will be renewed for a second season? How would you feel if CBS cancelled this TV series, instead?
Yes I think it’s a great show and would love to see season two
I love this show
I think this is ridiculous to believe all of these accusations brought forward years later. the writers on Wisdom of the Crowd are very good the acting, especially Jeremy Piven, is very good. Please do not cancel this show because of unfounded charges. These women wanted to further their carreers by any method then and now it is fashionable to come forward and get publicity for something most of these women willingly participated in at the time. If these things really happened they should have been reported at the time but most of them put their careers above morality and now… Read more »
I love this girl. She totally read my mind.
If a sexual abuse happened and found guilty — Then fire him.
Put his ex wife on the show in his place!!!! Thanks
If it is cancelled and I hope it isn’t, will they at least end the final show with knowing who killed Mia?
I don’t think so, since the episodes were filmed before the decision to cancel was made. I’m disappointed that it’s been canceled.
He passed a lie detector test and has TOTALLY stuck by his story unlike all the others. Nobody else had immediately offered to take a polygraph except Piven and he totally passed. I agree with KYB53. Let’s just make accusations on actors in shows we don’t like and just get those cancelled too. How terrible. Guilty until proven innocent. Sad choice CBS. Let’s jump on board to ruin someone’s life based on a statement. A statement we don’t know if true. A statement that will ruin a career. Imagine if a statement completely took away your ability to earn a… Read more »
I love the show and am sad it is cancelling.
With Jeremy Piven taking a lie detector test and passing, I don’t believe sex scandals are a good reason to cancel this wonderful show. I’d be devastated if it was cancelled.
They did cancel it. Maybe I should accuse stars of shows I don’t like so their show will get canceled too. All it takes is one person pointing the finger— no proof is required.
Sex scandals that Jeremy Piven did or not. I will not let it cancel with Mia’s killer still in large. I would like for season 2 to commissioned.
I found the premise promising, but I quickly tired of the constant bashing of all things conservative. Why does Hollywood refuse to acknowledge that 62,979,636 Americans voted conservatively? Do they really think conservatives don’t like to relax and watch entertaining tv at night?
Pfft. I’m done.
I couldn’t agree more with you. It get’s annoying after a while. I want to be entertained, I don’t want to hear someones political views no matter what they are.
I like this show. It’s really getting better each time. I hope it’s not a victim of the latest issues of sex scandals in the news. 🙁
Will Piven’s sex scandal affect things going forward?
I have really enjoyed the series so far and to see finale when the viewers are just getting to know the cast is terribly disappointing. I know if this last episode doesn’t answer the questions brought up so far – who killed Mia and why, is Sophe going to be taken over, and most importantly, who did Alex sell her shares to, I would say I would stop watching CBS, but that would only be if its highest rated shows went to another network. CBS is almost the only network I watch. I just won’t watch the time period. I… Read more »
I really cannot understand the virulent, hateful and puzzling disdain for this series. I find it to be intriguingly interesting. While the final results on the two or three crimes “solved” thus far are somewhat bereft of details and, since the dots are joined together in simplistic fashion that needs to be fleshed out a little more if it is to be believable, the show is much better than the credit (or lack thereof) that is being granted (or not) to it at present- far too early to judge, btw!
love the cast, but stupid…
I hope it is not cancelled. I thoroughly enjoy the show each and every week.
