Airing on FOX, Firefly mixed elements of the Old West with science fiction and a cult classic was born. The show was also infamously cancelled after one season. Now, Syfy is combining science fiction with the Old West with their Wynonna Earp TV show. How will it do in the ratings? Cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
Wynonna Earp follows Wyatt Earp’s great granddaughter as she battles demons and other creatures in the town of Purgatory. A woman with unique abilities, she and her posse of dysfunctional allies work to bring the paranormal to justice. The series stars Melanie Scrofano, Dominique Provost-Chalkley, Tim Rozon, and Shamier Anderson.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
7/23 update: Wynonna Earp has been renewed for a second season. Details here.

What do you think? Do you like the Wynonna Earp TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Loved the show from day one, it’s New and exciting. Renew it
Please renew the show, it’s so great!!
Awesome show! Loved every episode! Please renew for season 2!!!!
I love this show please renew it
I love the this show!!!! It started off kind of slow, but definitely picked up. Story line is entertaining and the characters have great chemistry. Please renew for many more seasons to come.
I hope so .. Need something different than modern day heros
Love the show, it is unique and highly entertaining. They must renew it…it will get more traction over the summer, i just feel it.
Syfy needs to renew this show immediately! It has great acting, great writing, snark for days and oh crazy chick with a gun! Emily Andras is my queen and I swear fealty to her. I’m a Browncoat, a.k.a. Firefly fan so I know how it feels to have something so amazing taken away when it’s only just started. Please for the love of all that is good in this world give us a season 2!
With ratings this awful you think it should be renewed? I suggest you call Netflix and ask them to buy it. Do you even know how low a 0.13 rating is?
I absolutely love the show, doc is like the same doc from tombstone!.
We fans need season 2!.
I was so mad when I found out it got cancelled, please bring it back
This is a great series! It reminds me of Buffy in the way that the good guys act as a team in fighting the demon bad guys! Please RENEW FOR SEASON 2!
I really love this series Wynonna Earp! I really do hope they renew it for season 2.
This show is amazing. I don’t know how ratings work but I know of a lot of people who love Wynonna Earp. They plan on buying dvd and seasons. Ratings are so easily skewed. Look at the reviews, people love it! Give it a chance. It’s the only reason I watch Syfy.
So it actually did a 0.14 in its last episode, and finishes the season with an average of 0.13. A 0.00 is snow. Does NBC Universal want to be known as the network that brought back the lowest rated show ever? We’ll find out.
These numbers mean next to nothing. They are overnight numbers only, meaning those watching it when it is airing. Renewals are based on a combination of the overnight numbers PLUS those who PVR it over a 7-day period following its air date. You have to realize that something being broadcast on a Friday night in the summer is going to get a ton of viewers who record it for later.
Predicting a renewal or cancelation based solely on these overnight numbers is akin to judging a book’s story without reading the last half of it.
Renew! This show will grow in ratings… it has all the markings of cult classic. Let people find it this summer.
I never the “Ratings Don’t Mean Anything Club” was so large. Bad news for all of you. Despite being a decent show, a 0.13(still waiting for the last episode ratings) isn’t ACCEPTABLE. Write to Netflix and beg them to take it, or it won’t come back.
I noticed you’ve not posted you’re negative projections lately. I’d love to hear your comments later this afternoon.
