TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.
First aired: May 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?
Love this show.
This is a smart, funny series. The characters have great potential to grow. The setting and the contrasting local/federal agencies make this more than a typical cop drama.
We love, love, love this show!!!
I love this show It needs to be renewed
Love the show. I actually look forward to watching it. Before this show, I generally didn’t watch anything on Sunday night regularly. I LOVE Dean Winters. He makes me laugh out loud. Josh Duhamel’s character is very likeable, especially when he is so unaware of how good looking he is. Good supporting cast. Loved the Candice Bergen episode. I roared when they caught her character having sex.
My husband and I both enjoy this show immensely. Wry wit. The actors work well together, sparring off each other. Dean Winter is particularly excellent. Twists in the plots keep the show entertaining. Candace Bergen should be brought back regularly.
Love this show!! For Gods sake, give it a chance!! Great chemistry and banter between the main characters. Dean Winters shines! This character is perfect for him! Candace Bergen was a great addition!! Bring her back!
Like the show. Good writing. Interesting characters. Fine acting. Stories keep me watching. Really hope the show is renewed. It needs time to develop audience. Helps that it follows The Good Wife.
Really like the show. Good banter between characters. A keeper!
This show is fun and refreshing. This show will hopefully be renewed. Fun, Fun Show!!!
Love the show. Very entertaining and funny. Dean Winters is perfect in this role!
Don’t cancel it.
They are already saying this show is sure to be canceled. I don’t understand why you would put a show on at half season, and before even the 2nd episode airs, you decide it should be canceled. I like this show, and think it should be given a chance.
Love love love this show!! Please don’t cancel it! Hard to take a comment seriously when they can’t spell school.
Really bad show. This week Duhamel’s partner whines and mocks the thought of using technology for catching criminals. He’s old skool see and think you’d be a moron for check up on a criminals tweets, FB or cellphone. A modern cop from 1927 despite facebook coming up in something like 40 percent of divorce cases and cellphones convicting killers since there have been cellphone. If this guy caught a terrorist he’d mock anyone looking into their laptop and phone. Even 1972 Columbo used technology to catch people. Our local cops don’t looking into it either. Probably why in 40 years… Read more »
Really good and quirky show with a lot of subtleties. Great chemistry between the leads. This is a show that grows on you so give it time to develop.
