Amazon has renewed their political comedy Alpha House for a second season but the Betas series won’t be coming back. The Silicon Valley-based TV show has been cancelled.
Of the decision, Amazon Studios director Roy Price said, “Unfortunately you have to make tough decisions… I’d love to figure out something else for Betas.”
Betas follows four friends who are trying to strike it rich by finding investors for their new dating app. The cast includes Joe Dinicol, Karan Soni, Jon Daly, Charlie Saxton, Maya Erskine, Madeline Zima, Tyson Ritter, Breeda Wool, Mark L. Young, and Ed Begley, Jr.
A pilot and 10 episodes of the series were produced. The pilot was released on April 19, 2013 and the final episode was made available on January 17, 2014.

I’m a 58 year old working in the high tech industry in a senior leadership role and I really enjoyed watching this show. I was looking forward to a second season and was disappointed to find out that the show had been canceled. I liked the high tech aspect which was reasonably accurate. It was also funny and sexy. I think it should be brought back

Betas is literally the only Amazon original show that I liked.

I just watched season 1 and really liked it! I am very bummed that there will not be a season 2
Just watched the entire first year and was really really looking forward to second season. So disappointed right now. Would definitely watch if it came back.
What a great entertainment with smart actors/actresses. I love them and i’m very disappointed to read no season two is currently planned . Big fail, Amazon.
Absolutely loved the show, watched the first 8 episodes without so much as a toilet break! Finished them this morning. I’m massively disappointed to see that it has been cancelled, hopefully amazon will see this long list of people who want it back! Furthermore, it brought to light the awesomeness of young, relatively unheard of actors! BRING IT BACK PLEASE
I was perusing through Amazon video one night and found Betas. Watched all the way through within a week. After googling to find out when season two was to come out, I realized that it was two years old and had been canceled. Needles to say I was super disappointed.
Only just saw it appear on the Amazon app and watched it all in a week. Was only when I got to the end that I realised that the series was a couple of years old and it got cancelled. Loved it, really disappointed there’s no more.
I just started watching betas as I had just become aware of it.i loved it and binge watched it in and then realized no season 2.This was a great show very smart witty but with depth. So angry there’s not another season.it makes me not want to bother with their other shows.To me the whole point of original programming not on the major networks is to support great shows and give them a chance unlike major networks that churn out mainstream crap.
Took a few eppisodes to get into but was well worth it. I am sorry there won’t be a season 2 🙁
The most under-rated show available on stream right now. I’m amazed there was not enough support for this show to warrant a second season. It was the first ‘WOW!!!’ show I found on AmazonPrime… But now it’s over.

You hooked me on a smart entertaining show and then you drop it? I guess the show didn’t fit in with the usual dumbed down laugh track trival the corporate executive feel the general public needs to be spoon fed! Well I guess Amazon is not enlightened enough to take a chance like the NBC team did when they didn’t cancel Seinfeld after it’s first season. Just started watching Betas and got so hooked I finished Season 1 in 2 days. Can’t believe there’s no more to watch. So sad… 🙁
