It looks like the vacation is over. Recently, Jeff Dye confirmed that NBC has cancelled Better Late Than Never after two seasons.
The reality show follows Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw, and George Foreman as they travel the world with both help and misdirection from tech-savvy comedian Jeff Dye.
On Twitter, Dye revealed NBC has decided not to renew Better Late Than Never. The series wrapped its second season in February with an average rating of .91 in the 18-49 demo and 4.819 million viewers. That’s a nearly 40% drop in ratings from season one.

What do you think? Have you seen Better Late Than Never? Are you sad it’s been cancelled?
Sad to hear Better Late Than Never was canceled. It’s pretty bad when really good shows come out and they get canceled but shows that are tacky keep going. It was interesting to see the different countries they visited and how their cultures are so different from ours. Looked forward to the show every week.
NBC you dropped the ball. Fun show. Actually something that was fun, not violent. Wow! Totally new concept. Hope you’ll reconsider. We need more comedy on TV.
My husband and I really enjoyed this show. Yes, it was a little off color and quite a few bleeps but it was still a fun show. It was good to see 4 seniors enjoying the beautiful countries and sharing their experiences. Bring it back, please!
That sucks! One of the best shows out there.
I loved every episode, I am so sorry that it has been cancelled.it was fun, wholesome, and filled with beautiful scenery from around the world. We really need more shows like this.
Mad as hell. My whole family loved this show. We where looking forward to watching the new season. Only to find out that NBC has cancelled the show. Please oh please bring it back. Terry Bradshaw is down right hilarious.
My husband and I loved Better Late than Never. We’ve watched the same shows 5 time each and still laugh out loud. Please bring it back. We love the humor, camaraderie and heartfelt situations. We even know we are being set up. Set us up more!
My family loved Better Late than Never. Even our boys who are 10 and 12 were looking forward to season 3. So sad it’s been canceled.
I really enjoyed this show. The interaction between the guys is a hoot. Last seasons exploration into their European roots was really interesting. Heartbroken that it didn’t get renewed.
Loved the show was looking forward to a new season. They were hilarious .
Another example of ageism!!! This was a great travel show and the antics of these senior citizens was so funny. I appreciated it since I am also a senior. This is so typical of a media outlet. All you care about are people 18 to 49. There are millions of us over that age who are still viable consumers. We spend our money. This was the only show on NBC I watched. Obviously no loss there!!!
I totally agree with you, Beverly.
I am deeply saddened by the cancelling of Better Late than Never. It was my absolute favorite. Maybe another network can pick it up. I could see this expanding into all women icons on a bucket list trip. Maybe Jeff Dye can work on that. I know who I would pick for the women. Oh well guess I have to stick with CBS now.
It’s a shame shows like Better Late than Never get cancelled. Something that is truly funny and entertaining and keep reality shows like the Bachelor and Temptation island on. Or the talent shows. They are a dime a dozen and frankly isn’t you have seen one you have seen them all. Bring back the funny. Get rid of the shows exploiting sex and misery.
Thanks for listening.
For once they put a decent show on TV that was really worth watching, and worth sitting thru the commercials, and this is what happens. Shame on NBC for cancelling this wonderful show!
This was a great show, please bring it back!
