It looks like the vacation is over. Recently, Jeff Dye confirmed that NBC has cancelled Better Late Than Never after two seasons.
The reality show follows Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw, and George Foreman as they travel the world with both help and misdirection from tech-savvy comedian Jeff Dye.
On Twitter, Dye revealed NBC has decided not to renew Better Late Than Never. The series wrapped its second season in February with an average rating of .91 in the 18-49 demo and 4.819 million viewers. That’s a nearly 40% drop in ratings from season one.

What do you think? Have you seen Better Late Than Never? Are you sad it’s been cancelled?
So sad. This was actually a TV show worth watching. So much garbage these days, it was nice to see some good entertainment. I guess we will have to go to another network.
I enjoyed going on vacation with the guys! It was educational and at the same time funny! I was looking forward to another great vacation. It’s sad and I’ll miss looking forward to seeing all of the places and the extremely funny things they do and say.
One more note. I’m offically boycotting NBC!!! That’s how much I loved Better Late Than Never!!! I even taoed football to watch what had became MY FAVORITE SHOW!!! My wife even put it up as one if her favorite shows up there with her Hallmark Channel shows and even her Soap Operas!!! Now that’s saying something!!! Finally, a show we watched together and now it’s gone!!! I looked forward to this show as much as much as my sports games on TV. NBC need to hear the silent majority and fix their screw up fast!!!! I’ll keep waiting for this… Read more »
I am a baby boomer and I have waited and waited for season 3 praying it would be renewed! It seems every show we more mature adults throughly enjoy gets cancelled. Well another reality or game show will probably take its place I’m sure or wait, another cop show, but I do like Blue Bloods! It’s a classy show without bliid and guts all over the screen. I’ve got it! More zombies. Well, back to The History Channel and HGTV and of course, sports. I sure wish NBC would change their mind or some other network would pick up what… Read more »
I really love the show better late then never I was hoping we were going to see more of the show. I’m so sad
I love the show better late then never I was hoping there would be a series 3.
I am very disappointed this show is cancelled. It was fun to watch.
Maybe if it was advertised more on TV there would have been higher viewership.
I didn’t even it started until I accidently came across it one night. Other’s I work with didn’t know a new season had started either.
I am so very sad that this show has been canceled. They are so funny and every episode was something that we looked forward to. BRING IT BACK!!!!
For goodness’ sake, please produce/air season 3! These guys are funny, entertaining and delightful to watch. We have been looking forward to this since the second season ended. Please let the friendship and silliness that these guys have developed so well continue! (Henry, get in there and explain to the powers that be that we viewers need more of what you guys have to share!)
So sad this was cancelled; I loved it!
I can’t believe NBC would cancel this show ! Oh wait a minute, we are talking about NBC, that makes sense !!!
we agree with all the positive statements about this show. It was funny, and showed the value of friendship. please bring it back as it is far better than any other “reality” show or most other shows for that fact. hopefully if NBC is not smart enough to bring it back another network still pick it up. NBC had dropped (another) notch in our book.
We loved this show. The guys were all great! I’m so sad that it’s over. What’s wrong with NBC. I hope another network picks it up.
What is wrong with NBC???? This was a GREAT show!!!!! I will now be boycotting NBC – finally a new, good show and they take it off the air, Morons at NBC!
We missed season one of BETTER LATE THAN NEVER, and after seeing season two, searched for season one to see what we had missed. I am very disappointed to hear there will not be a season three. My whole family enjoyed it, from my 88 year old mother, my wife and I who are in our late 50’s, to my daughters and their husbands in their early 20’s. It was the ONLY reality show on TV worth watching.
Better Late Than Never is a hilarious! Who knew this amazing cast could make us laugh and learn some history at the same time! It is a shame it was cancelled! We watched it weekly to feel relief from the dysfunction this country is facing from our government! This group of actors showed us that even in situations, like a miniature car these humans with much different personalities could live and play together!
I would ask people if they ever watched it and unfortunately advertising was not well distributed, as most people never heard of it!
PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!!
