During the regular 2018-2019 television season, every returning CBS TV series dropped in the Nielsen ratings, except Ransom, which despite rising, still remained at the bottom of the barrel. It’s up to the summer schedule to pick up the slack. Enter the new Blood & Treasure TV show. Will it bleed viewers, or prove itself a jewel worthy of the Tiffany Network. Will Blood & Treasure be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A CBS action-adventure series, Blood & Treasure centers on antiquities expert Danny McNamara (Matt Barr) and art thief Lexi Vaziri (Sofia Pernas) who join forces to trap a terrorist. As Danny and Lexi travel the world, hot on the tail of their target, they become embroiled in an ancient conflict. Oded Fehr, Michael James Shaw, Katia Winter, James Callis, Alicia Coppola, and Mark Gagliardi also star.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly on the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
8/7 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Blood & Treasure TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season on CBS?
*6/26/19 update: CBS has renewed Blood & Treasure for a second season.
If this show isn’t renewed, I drop every CBS show from my DVR. Nuff said…
Already been renewed
I thought this show was just a seasonal mid-season thing. It’s like watching paint dry! We only watch it, because there is nothing better in the time slot. I hope something better takes it’s place.
I’m enjoying the show – hope it sticks around
What a great show. Interesting, great characters, lots of action. Keep this show!!
I love it ! Lot of action and is funny to . Dont cancel it
I personally love the show! I myself am a History buff and love seeing shows like this. It’s kind of a National Treasure meets Indiana Jones. Keep the show going!
Tomb Raider?
Blood and Treasure isn’t that great of a show! I really liked THE CODE AND RANSOM, yet they got canceled! CBS really needs to get its act together! They’ve canceled too many shows that I really liked over the past few years!
I love the show
Me and Everyone I have talked to loves this new show please don’t cancel it.
What I have learned from this show is that I love Sophia Pernas. She is going to get some roles out of this.
I like Sophia. She’s kinda pretty, in that “I would chop off my right hand just to be in the same room as someone who was once in the same room as someone who is half as hot as that” kinda way. However, I might be bias cuz I used to know someone named Sophia. Nah, she just dat hot.
a poor man’s version of Indiana Jones meets the Relic Hunter with the Librarians.
So far, so good — TV version of “Indiana Jones”. This is what “Whiskey” should have been.
Too much like James Bond not realistic.
Dump this mess and CBS, take over WhskeyCavalier.
Don’t want to dump show but would love for CbS to take whiskey C!
I too love WHISKEY CAVALIER & I’m not crazy about Blood and Treasure or FBI! ABC was supposed to have a second season of TAKE TWO, but canceled it also and I loved it! Don’t like Rookie much, CASTLE was so much better!
I like it – very exciting. All the actors are great. Please renew and keep it going.
Hey CBS like the Series, please do not end up like Zoo with too much size plots and leave us hanging by cancelling it because of low ratings.
