Blue Bloods is ending, but one star of the CBS series is not ready to say goodbye yet. Tom Selleck, who plays NYPD Police Commissioner Frank Reagan, recently spoke about the series ending with TV Insider.
Starring Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray, the Blue Bloods series follows a family of law enforcement officers living and working in New York City.
CBS has announced that Blue Bloods will be ending with the upcoming 14th season, which will be split into two parts. The first part will debut on February 16th, and run for ten episodes. The remaining eight installments will begin airing in the fall.
It appears that Selleck doesn’t agree with the decision to end Blue Bloods and said the following:
“CBS will find an awful lot of people aren’t ready to say goodbye to it. The show’s more popular than ever, and I think [numbers] will increase with the interest this year. We’re certainly not out of ideas.
I’m not counting the days so I can do something else. I love the work. Sometimes the hours are a little harder because I’m older, but so what? I want work as long as they’ll have me.”
What do you think? Have you kept up with the Blue Bloods TV series? Will you be sad to see this series end?
We have been huge fans since Day One. No, we do Not want to see it end. Blue Bloods is our favorite! Please keep Blue Bloods, It’s America’s Best!
I agree with Tom Selleck. He’s better in this show than he ever was in anything else.! And most handsome . The whole cast is great. The storylines are great. Has great moral values. If more shows were like this the world would be a better place. Keep it going!!!
Keep it going. Why stop a good show which is still popular. Doesn’t make sense to stop it.
I do not want to see Blue Bloods come to an end. This is yet another excellent show that they are getting rid of and what for so they can put on more of these reality shows which suck. The acting is excellent and the story lines are real life.
I think Tom Selleck is right. This is a great show and could go on for many more seasons. It will definitely be missed. It is getting harder and harder to find good shows to watch any more.
Hate to see it end
I love this series, hope it doesn’t end.
Blue Bloods is the best show on TV. Don’t have to worry if it’s appropriate for children.
I will really miss this series. It is one of the few things left on network TV that is worthwhile. I hope CBS gets hammered by the public for this idiotic decision.
I don’t want Blue Bloods to end. They got a new family member to use in story lines

This is one of the best shows on TV. I’ve been a fan since the first episode and I keep watching the reruns. Please , if CBS won’t rescind their cancellation, some other network or streaming service should pick it up.
It’s just wrong to cancel Blue Bloods. I’ve been a huge fan of the show since S1E1. Please don’t cancel it!
We’ve been watching Blue Bloods since it began and don’t want to see it end.
The actors are terrific and the story lines are great.
I’m a huge fan. I’ve been watching since S1 E1. I don’t want it to end!
Same!! I watched with my dad (until he passed) and fell in love with it. I actually enjoy the occasional crossover dialogue from Tom Selleck’s Jesse Stone portrayal. Maybe there will be a spin-off.
