Blue Bloods is ending, but one star of the CBS series is not ready to say goodbye yet. Tom Selleck, who plays NYPD Police Commissioner Frank Reagan, recently spoke about the series ending with TV Insider.
Starring Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray, the Blue Bloods series follows a family of law enforcement officers living and working in New York City.
CBS has announced that Blue Bloods will be ending with the upcoming 14th season, which will be split into two parts. The first part will debut on February 16th, and run for ten episodes. The remaining eight installments will begin airing in the fall.
It appears that Selleck doesn’t agree with the decision to end Blue Bloods and said the following:
“CBS will find an awful lot of people aren’t ready to say goodbye to it. The show’s more popular than ever, and I think [numbers] will increase with the interest this year. We’re certainly not out of ideas.
I’m not counting the days so I can do something else. I love the work. Sometimes the hours are a little harder because I’m older, but so what? I want work as long as they’ll have me.”
What do you think? Have you kept up with the Blue Bloods TV series? Will you be sad to see this series end?
I think Blue Blood is one of the few wonderful shows left. We have an awful lot of garbage programs . I watch 98%
GAC because I’m disgusted with the morality on TV and the people in charge of what we see need to give us back healthy family moral shows .
Blue Blood is a top notch program.
I agree with Tom! We love this show and know others who love it too. None of us want it to end! It’s one of the best shows on TV now and one of the very few worth watching now-a-days!
I will watch Blue Blood as long as it Aires. I love Tom Selleck as an actor. I love his integrity as a person.

Save Blue Bloods. Ratings are high for a Friday night show. No reason to end the show at this time. FANS ARE UPSET & DISAPPOINTED
Until CBS had a successor on Friday nights following Blue Bloods for three seasons to Build up a New Following from us Blood Blood Followers /Customers, CBS don’t shoot your self in the foot on Friday Nights! Also consider this is Family Program. Grandpa, Father, Children, grandchildren. It hopefully draws viewers of all ages!
Great show, keep it going! For whatever reason the best shows get cancelled!
Tom is right. Keep it going. Best show ever
Blue Bloods is a great show. There aren’t many shows that can compare with it. Would hate to see it end.
We watch Blue Bloods every week. It’s a wonderful show and tells us what’s happening in New York City.
CBS, please reconsider.
Yes I will miss blue bloods. I look forward for every new season. I have been watching it since season 1. I think CBS is making a big mistake but CBS has cancelled a few good shows that I loved watching
