Blue Bloods is ending, but one star of the CBS series is not ready to say goodbye yet. Tom Selleck, who plays NYPD Police Commissioner Frank Reagan, recently spoke about the series ending with TV Insider.
Starring Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray, the Blue Bloods series follows a family of law enforcement officers living and working in New York City.
CBS has announced that Blue Bloods will be ending with the upcoming 14th season, which will be split into two parts. The first part will debut on February 16th, and run for ten episodes. The remaining eight installments will begin airing in the fall.
It appears that Selleck doesn’t agree with the decision to end Blue Bloods and said the following:
“CBS will find an awful lot of people aren’t ready to say goodbye to it. The show’s more popular than ever, and I think [numbers] will increase with the interest this year. We’re certainly not out of ideas.
I’m not counting the days so I can do something else. I love the work. Sometimes the hours are a little harder because I’m older, but so what? I want work as long as they’ll have me.”

A LOT of good stories to ‘tell’ with the right screenwriters. The cast is truly a ‘family’ and Selleck is that VERY rare Hollywood star who actually served in our military. I.E. not fake!

we have way to many reality shows and it is not a favorite in this house and it is nice to have a great show to watch
We have watched blue bloods all through 13 series and it has been our go to viewing on dvd over the the xmas period we love it and will be sad to say goodbye ( CBS listen to Tom sellick I for one am not ready to say goodbye) long live blue bloods

This show should remain on TV it shows family values respect honor its just a wonderful story. BIG MISTAKE CANCELING THIS SHOW
I have been watching the show since the beginning. Don’t cancel it! There are so many new story lines that can be brought in. Such a great cast of actors here, why ruin a good thing?
I love the show and it has been a hit ever since it has been on the air. When you take the good shows off you replace them with junk that isn’t even fit to watch most times. Please don’t cancel the show.

I have watched Blue Bloods since the beginning and I will really miss the show. I would like to see it for a few more seasons especially if the actors want to go on with the show. They are taking away a #1 show and then they put on the crappiest shows ever to replace them. Why not stick with your #1 show.
