Blue Bloods is ending, but one star of the CBS series is not ready to say goodbye yet. Tom Selleck, who plays NYPD Police Commissioner Frank Reagan, recently spoke about the series ending with TV Insider.
Starring Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray, the Blue Bloods series follows a family of law enforcement officers living and working in New York City.
CBS has announced that Blue Bloods will be ending with the upcoming 14th season, which will be split into two parts. The first part will debut on February 16th, and run for ten episodes. The remaining eight installments will begin airing in the fall.
It appears that Selleck doesn’t agree with the decision to end Blue Bloods and said the following:
“CBS will find an awful lot of people aren’t ready to say goodbye to it. The show’s more popular than ever, and I think [numbers] will increase with the interest this year. We’re certainly not out of ideas.
I’m not counting the days so I can do something else. I love the work. Sometimes the hours are a little harder because I’m older, but so what? I want work as long as they’ll have me.”

I have watched the series from the beginning. I look forward to it every week. What a sad thing that a wholesome show like this is being canceled. I hope the network reconsiders and keeps the show on the air. We need more shows like this.

I am a big fan of Blue Bloods. I have watched every single episode and dont want the show to end, Calling all fans to call and voice our loathing of CBS for replacing Blue Bloods with another cop show but what they don’t realize that this just isn’t another cop show…. it has also become our family. You saw what happened with the beer company when it was boycotted, so its time to band together and boycott ALL CBS shows and start beseeching Netflix, and other channels to pick up Blue Bloods (paramount, peacock etc.). I definitely look forward to watching Blue Bloods and I want Joe to be a permanent member on the Sunday dinner table every Sunday. I want them to show how Joe has so many genial mannerism of his father. Make him so much a part of the family blood.

2nd best show on TV (after The Chosen). I love the Reagan family! I wish I could sit down & have Sunday dinner with them! No, I’m not ready for the show to end!
