Tom Selleck is not giving up hope on Blue Bloods. The star of the Friday night drama still feels that CBS will reverse its decision to cancel the long-running series.
Starring Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray, the Blue Bloods series follows a family of law enforcement officers in New York City.
Selleck said the following about the series in a recent interview, per Deadline:
“I will continue to think that CBS will come to their senses. We’re the third-highest scripted show in all of broadcast. We’re winning the night. All the cast wants to come back. And I can tell you this: we aren’t sliding off down a cliff. We’re doing good shows, and still holding our place. So, I don’t know. You tell me!”
Just last week, CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach reiterated the network’s decision to cancel the series and acknowledged the cast’s desire to continue Blue Bloods beyond season 14. She said the following:
“We really want to thank the cast and crew, everyone involved in the show. We absolutely will miss the family dinners. It is important to give show the sendoff it deserves.
We love this cast, we love their passion for the show. All shows have to come to an end. It’s important to us to refresh the schedule. We are going to end the show come December.”

Blue Bloods is the best show currently on TV. It has great actors and quality story lines. Canceling it is a grave mistake …. CBS will be losing a lot of viewers.
Keep the show on. What is the matter with Paramount+??? There must be a bunch of idiots at the top making this decision. I’m ready to throw in my subscription to Paramount+. They let NCIS Hawaii go and some others. We lost other great shows to other streaming services. Get your crap together and keep the great ones like Blue Bloods and NCIS Hawaii.
Blue Bloods is a much needed show for CBS as they continue to push mindless reality shows. Blue Bloods brings true reality that is enjoyable to watch!

We would absolutely follow Blue Bloods in whatever medium used to broadcast the show. The scenarios and truth of how police are necessary in keeping the peace is integral to a civil society. The show exposes real life experiences of life and death while maintaining wholesome viewing. Please keep it going. Been watching from the beginning.
Please reconsider the decision to cancel Blue Bloods. It is a much beloved, highly rated series and has a loyal following. CBS has also canceled 2 of our other favorite shows as well and if Blue Bloods goes, we only have one other evening program on that network. Don’t drive us away completely!
