Did Sydney make the right choice in the first season of the Bluff City Law TV show on NBC? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Bluff City Law is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all of the season one episodes of Bluff City Law here. *Status update below.
An NBC legal drama, the Bluff City Law TV series stars Jimmy Smits, Caitlin McGee, Scott Shepherd, Barry Sloane, Michael Luwoye, MaameYaa Boafo, Stony Blyden, and Jayne Atkinson. Coming from a famous Memphis family that’s known for taking on injustice, a brilliant lawyer named Sydney Strait (McGee) used to work at her father Elijah’s celebrated law firm until their tumultuous relationship got in the way. After barely speaking to Elijah (Smits) for years, Sydney is suddenly thrust back into the family fold when her philanthropist mother passes away unexpectedly. In the wake of the loss of his wife and in hopes of reconnecting with the daughter he loves, Elijah asks Sydney to rejoin his Civil Rights firm and take on a chemical company whose product may cause cancer. Despite her lingering resentment and distrust, she agrees because she knows that working alongside her father is her best hope at changing the world — as long as they can find a way to get along. No sooner has Sydney returned than she stumbles on a secret that Elijah has been keeping from her that may change everything.

I really enjoyed BCL!! It was cool that a show was filmed here in Memphis. The characters were fantastic and I want it back in my life
Bluff City Law is an awesome show. The fact that it focuses on some controversial topics makes it all the better. Jimmy Smitts and cast compliment each other perfectly. It deserves a second season.
This show deserves a second season. Great characters and love all of the actors. Needs a new time slot was up against 2 well established shows. Somebody needs to renew this show if NBC doesn’t renew. #BluffCityLawSeasonTwo!! Thank you!
Another Good Show Bites the dust. Ouch sure hope not NBC should know from Hulu how many of us Have This Show on our WATCH LIST. I am 58 sorry my age is not is your given Demo group, but I think a few of your actors on this good show are. PLEASE RENEW or can this show be picked up by another network or Streaming service Even CBS?
Best new show of last season. Why would they even think of cancelling. It takes the first year just to spread the word..this show is relevant!!
I loved this show, do not understand why NBC did not get better viewership on this except ABC had its Monday night line up strong and Monday night Football might have taken some viewers. Maybe trying it on a better night could have given it better ratings. Would love to see it get a better chance maybe on another night!! Very sad it is cancelled!!
This is yet another GOOD show that is in danger of being cancelled?? Goodness, I do not understand! Every time we get a really good show, the season ends, and we look forward to seeing when it will come back for the season, we find out it’s possibly being cancelled?? I would love to be on the panel of people who decide these things!! Another one that you got wrong if it is cancelled!!

I don’t normally watch crime /drama shows on television. However this was one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time. There’s no violence, bad language, or killing with blood and guts. The characters are great and the storyline keeps my interest peaked. Please renew this show for the ones of us who prefer this type of program. I didn’t miss a single episode and look forward to seeing more.
Please bring Bluff City Law back. It’s a great show that is Not peppered with murder, rape and violence. Too many networks are airing the same thing. Why is it so difficult to get a great cast of characters and story line to season 2? It’s a shame that the networks are swayed by only the younger generation and violence.
when I was in the demographic that NBC desires “LA Law” was the BEST! Now I’m in the 50 – 70 demographic and I don’t count. “Bluff City Law” keeps me coming back for more just like “LA Law” did. I guess advertising guys don’t appreciate my money with using data on what Millennials want for EVERY show on TV. NBC you should renew this show because honestly I have more discretionary money than some kid. I’m not saddled with student loans or living with my parents because I can’t afford to be on my own. The BEST law series ever! Characters that are well played and portrayed with believable scripts with super nice use of Memphis locations and finally a new show that is family friendly. please give us a Season 2 as your claimed ratings are very incorrect.
