Despite some drop off, last year, the Bull TV show remained a top-five performer for CBS. In the third season, how will a change in night and timeslot affect the series’ performance in the Nielsen ratings race? Will Bull be cancelled or renewed for season four? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A CBS legal drama inspired by the early career of Doctor Phil McGraw, Bull stars Michael Weatherly, Freddy Rodriguez, Geneva Carr, Jaime Lee Kirchner, and Christopher Jackson. The show centers on the brash and charming Doctor Jason Bull (Weatherly). In heading the team at his Trial Analysis Corporation, Bull combines psychology, human intuition, and high-tech data to learn what makes jurors, attorneys, witnesses and the accused tick.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/14 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.

For comparisons: The second season of Bull on CBS averaged a 1.19 rating in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and a total audience of 10.618 million viewers.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Bull TV show? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season on CBS?
*5/9/19 update: Bull has been renewed for a fourth season by CBS.
Please keep Bull! I think it is cleverly written and good actors and love Michael Weatherly!
I look forward to watching Bull on Monday nights as I did on Tuesday. I am a big fan of NCIS so I loved having the two in succession. I think Michael Weatherly, if intentionally, said something inappropriate might have had a Tony DeNozzo moment.
It’s a great show. Interesting characters who are funny and are individuals. Story lines tend to surprise you too. Should be kept considering much of the crap that is kept on.
Love Bull! Renew it!
I love Bull. It’s fascinating and the characters are excellent in their rolls. I love that Bull, while kind of a good ball, has a strong since of what’s right. Please renew it for another season. Mary Clement Gilbert AZ
I love Bull. Please renew it!
I like Bull, hope it is sitll now.
There are two sides to every story. We’ve only heard one side from an actress who didn’t work out as a show regular and felt some jokes were inappropriate, for which an apology was given. I think Bull with Michael Weatherly is an excellent show and hope inappropriate jokes won’t end a talented actors career. No other female he has worked with has supported Dushko’s accusations or had similar complaints.
I’m sorry, but with these sexual harassment allegations against Michael Weatherly this show should be cancelled. The ratings drop almost every episode as it is and the show is really poorly written and acted. I hope this gets shut down and Michael Weatherly gets what he deserves an end to a show pony of a career. Boo on you CBS!
Leave Bull on. He is pleasant, knowledgeable and great to watch. Maybe some of his shows don’t work out well, but there is always a point (message) to his show. Maybe the point is missed by those who gave a negative.
Given weatherly’s behavior, and cbs behavior i think it should be pulled from the air immediately, not just cancelled.
I have tried. I have viewed this show on and off for the first season. There is something about the character of Bull that annoys me. I also find the show very unrealistic from a legal standpoint. I know there are jury profilers but Bull seems to have super powers. I wanted to like the show and was looking forward to its pirmier. I still loved my Law and Order.
Constantly coming in a distant third in it’s slot is not good news for Bull
I really enjoy Bull and hope it continues!
My husband and I always look forward to Tuesday night’s dramas (albeit different this season). We love NCIS (Mark Harmon), BULL and NCIS (New Orleans). Also, always watch NCIS (L.A.) and The Bachelorette/Bachelor on Mondays. We will follow Bull on Mondays. I also LOVE Madam Secretary (so intelligent, riveting and always interesting). Also, we enjoy Dancing with the Stars and The Good Doctor. Don’t care for revision shows, where is the ingenuity? Come on.
