What’s This TV Show About?
Streaming on the Hulu paid subscription platform, Cardinal stars Billy Campbell, Karine Vanasse, Kristen Thomson, Allie MacDonald, Glen Gould, Deborah Hay, Alden Adair, James Downing, Eric Hicks, David Richmond-Peck, Alanna Bale, Gale Maurice, Robert Naylor, and James Thomas.
Based on the Giles Blunt novels, this Canadian crime drama centers on demoted Algonquin Bay Police Detective John Cardinal (Campbell). When a missing 13-year old girl, Katie Pine, is found dead in an abandoned Ontario mineshaft, Cardinal and his new partner, Lise Delorme (Vanasse), take on the investigation into her disappearance and death. As they dig deeper into the grisly case, a secret from Cardinal’s past as an undercover cop in Toronto, threatens to derail their probe. As Cardinal works to correct the mistakes of the past, and handle family issues, he grows suspicious of Lise’s motives, while the serial killer hones in on another victim.

Telly’s Take
Because Nielsen doesn’t track streaming platform ratings, it is a bit trickier to determine whether Hulu will cancel or renew Cardinal for season two. However, CTV has already renewed Cardinal through season three in Canada, and eOne has also sold the TV series to outlets in UK, Scandinavia, and Spain. For now, I’ve decided to seek my supper elsewhere. I suspect Hulu will renew Cardinal for a second season. I’ll keep an eye on this TV show and update this page with further developments. I would be very upset. I’m so tried of this networks canceling shows. Leaving everyone hanging. Why can’t they finish what they started. Please bring back Cardinal seasons 4&5.

Cardinal should be renewed on Hulu for as long as the seasons are produced. I enjoy this program very much.
I just twatch Season 1 of the Cardinal and I absolutely loved it. Bill Campbell is perfect, as usual. The storyline was great. Please continue this show with other seasons. I will watch them all and I’ve already texted a ton of friends to watch it also. We will be let down by hulu if it does not return.
