Sony Pictures Television has two new stars. Deadline reports Jerry O’Connell and Sydney Poitier have joined the studio’s upcoming TV show Carter.
From writer Garry Campbell and John Tinker, the crime procedural “centers on Harley Mackay (O’Connell), a detective on a hit American TV show who is forced to return to his sleepy hometown after an embarrassing public meltdown in Hollywood. Once back, Carter taps into his acting experience to become a real-life detective, partnering with long-time friend and no-nonsense veteran of the force, Sam St. Clair (Poitier).”
Carter is being produced by Sony Pictures Television Networks for a global audience, which includes the channel AXN. Production is set to begin next month in Canada.
What do you think? Are you a fan of crime procedurals? Would you watch Carter?
After he left SLIDERS so many years ago, seeing him again in an original and interesting role should be very refreshing. CARTER should be available to watch in Slovenia in a week or so, via AXN. Keeping my fingers crossed for at least three seasons from that point on.
Would love to have seen this but we don’t get SONY. ; ((((
They should have just started Castle back up
Forget Castle, with Nathan Fillion free, there’s only one thing to do: Firefly.
