What’s in store for the end of Code Black? Recently, executive producer Michael Seitzman spoke with TVLine about the CBS TV show’s upcoming series finale.
As reported earlier, the network has cancelled the medical drama after three seasons. The cast includes Marcia Gay Harden, Luis Guzmán, Boris Kodjoe, Harry Ford, Benjamin Hollingsworth, William Allen Young, Emily Tyra, Noah Gray-Cabey, Emily Alyn Lind, Moon Bloodgood, and Rob Lowe.
In the interview, Seitzman revealed there will be some closure for the series finale of Code Black, which is slated to air on CBS on July 18th at 10 p.m. ET/PT:
At the end of every season, we’ve ended the season to be a story ender for everybody so there’s a sense of closure not just among the audience who we make the show for but also for ourselves. The third season had the added specter of a possible cancellation, which made it more urgent for us to create something for every story that felt like an ending to some degree.”

I don’t want this show to end. Period. One of the few good shows on TV. Tired of reality crud, bad talk shows, crude/rude drama and trashy comedy. Shows like this are hard to find and apparently, hard to keep. I think you are making a mistake !!!!

does CBS really care that people are tired of reality shows?
This is my favorite show. Not just a medical show and not a trashy soapy show but a show with the right amount of medical with great personal interactions of true heart touching and meaningful storylines. The characters have grown without being so dramatic and all the crappy sex stuff people think they have to have. They seem to have real relationships with each other. Please don’t cancel this. Great show, please do not cancel Code Black!
I cannot believe this show is being cancelled! The best medical drama ever, very realistic true to life, excellent cast! Yet TV’s Grey’s Anatomy, which has become nothing more than a trashy soap opera, is ongoing for all eternity! How disappointed I am in CBS. Finally something worth watching and they drop it….

This is a very good show. I hope another channel realizes how popular it is, and how advertisers will like to post commercials to viewers watching it.
Why!!! Please say it ain’t so!!! I love Code Black!! When it was cancelled the first time I was devistated. Then when it came back I was elated. Please don’t do it again, Im begging you. Think about it real well before you take such drastic measures. Thank you.
