What’s in store for the end of Code Black? Recently, executive producer Michael Seitzman spoke with TVLine about the CBS TV show’s upcoming series finale.
As reported earlier, the network has cancelled the medical drama after three seasons. The cast includes Marcia Gay Harden, Luis Guzmán, Boris Kodjoe, Harry Ford, Benjamin Hollingsworth, William Allen Young, Emily Tyra, Noah Gray-Cabey, Emily Alyn Lind, Moon Bloodgood, and Rob Lowe.
In the interview, Seitzman revealed there will be some closure for the series finale of Code Black, which is slated to air on CBS on July 18th at 10 p.m. ET/PT:
At the end of every season, we’ve ended the season to be a story ender for everybody so there’s a sense of closure not just among the audience who we make the show for but also for ourselves. The third season had the added specter of a possible cancellation, which made it more urgent for us to create something for every story that felt like an ending to some degree.”

I’m so upset it’s ending I worked Trauma for years this show was spot on and GOOD. EVERY time I really like a show it’s CLX fix this bring it back
I cant believe that after only three seasons, they are cancelling this amazing show,
. With all of the other nonsense on tv these days, this is one of the few true television drama series that is actually good and something I look forward to,watching each week. The storylines and characters are amazing and relatable to real life aituations. I truly hope that another network will,pick up the series and allow it to continue while CBS continues to steamroll ahead with all the other crap that seems to be making up the majority of tv these days.
How/Why is this being cancelled? I just watched the July 11th episode and saw previews for next week “series finale” and I was shocked. Had no clue. The one show hubby and I look forward to each week. It’s fast paced and I love all of the characters. Man this stinks. I’m so sad. CBS puts out a lot of crap, but this was actually a great show. Please CBS reconsider this cancellation.
Like other truly good series, this one gets cancelled! Such a shame! They will probably replace it with another ‘reality’ show. Who makes these decisions?!
Wow, very dissappointed in this news. Code Black is one of my favorite shows. As a retired nurse, I appreciate the “as real as it can actually get on TV” medical drama. There is a lot more of the story to tell. I hope it’s not going to be replaced by another reality TV show.
I cannot believe they are cancelling this show! It is one of the best on TV! Cancel some of the other stupid shows. PLEASE reconsider and continue with this show!

My husband and I are so sad that CBS is ending Code Black. What a shame! Sad to see a quality TV show end.

So upset about this cancelation. The characters and story lines are beautiful in every way. I really wish they would reconsider.. heartbroken
I DON’T WANT THE SHOW TO END
It is very unfortunate that this show is being cancelled. It is rare to find a show that has such a great cast, energy and chemistry. CBS is ridiculous to be cancelling this. Every episode is emotional and every actor is able to bring the viewer into these stories and situations. I think everyone at CBS should really reconsider this mistake and correct it before it’s too late. There aren’t many shoes like this out there anymore this authenticaity. These shows should be supported not cancelled.
