TV show description:
A sci-fi espionage drama from creator Justin Marks, the Counterpart TV series delves into an enigmatic reality which everyday living conceals. The story centers on low-level bureaucrat, Howard Silk (Simmons), who toils away in relative obscurity at a United Nations spy outfit based in Berlin, Germany.
After uncovering evidence that his agency is protecting a secret about traveling to a parallel dimension, Howard’s whole life changes. He soon plunges headlong into a strange world fraught with peril and treachery.
In that other dimension, the only person Howard dares trust is his own counterpart. Meanwhile, Howard’s wife, Emily Burton Silk (Williams), has secrets of her own that may well connect to everything. Likewise, the mysterious Clare (Boniadi), may prove key to what is truly going on.
Howard’s isn’t the only one dragged into the intrigue. His director, Peter Quayle (Lloyd), also gets caught up and finds his double life is wreaking havoc with his meticulously plotted career.
Overseeing Counterintelligence at Howard’s agency is Aldrich (Thomsen). This seasoned operative is one part philosopher and one part spy.
Ian Shaw (Pinnock) has the unenviable responsibility of keeping the peace between the two dimensions. Finally, there’s Baldwin (Serraiocco). Her life, as well as her work as an assassin, takes on a whole new significance, once she comes into contact with the other side.
Counterpart wonders, “What if our lives could have been different?” From that angle, the thriller examines the concepts of identity, fate, and opportunity lost.
Series Finale:
Episode #20 — “Better Angels”
Mira’s looming threat forges some unlikely alliances.

What do you think? Do you like the Counterpart TV series? Should this Starz TV show have been cancelled or renewed for season three?
Who wrote the poetry read to Emily ?
Renew this Series
Renew it please, please !
Great. Renew for next season. Saw the note to look for 2019. Loved the music, including the Dark End of the Street tune used to end the first episode. Need more Counterpoint!!!
Excellent show, keeps you guessing. Definitely should be renewed.
Renew this show. Intelligent writers, keeps one intrigued.
The show is great, but I think they go too far with the language and nudity. I’d like to see them offer an edited PG-13 version. Take a look at shows like The Blacklist that manage to wow without the language or nudity.
I am not going to lie, this is probably one of the best TV shows airing right now. Its so damn intriguing to watch it just makes me want to keep watching episode after episode I’m so pumped for the season finale. I’ve literally already have watched all 9 episodes three times . that’s how much I like this series. They better renew it or starz is going to lose a customer that’s for damm sure!!!!!
This is the only weekly TV show that I watch. I look forward to each new episode.
The show has been a winner up to now. Episode 6 seemed to go over the limit on not just having alternative sexual lifestyle but over promoting it. Too much and not real in normal life.
This is a good one. It puts me in the mind of Fringe which was excellent.
I think it is a great new series. I hope that it is renewed!
The setting, cast are all excellent. The story interests me and I want to watch more episodes, maybe it may become clearer as to reason why they are trying to eliminate each other. I hope this is not one of those series that ends up being cancelled and leaving the fans without closure.
J.K. Simmons is such an outstanding actor, it’s like watching two actors playing each Howard. Phenomenal acting.
I found the first episode intriguing but had to watch twice along with reading this overview to fully understand plot. I’m looking forward to the rest of the season before I judge, however first episode “hooked” me despite some slowness. Thumbs up so far.
