It looks like its case closed for fans of the Deputy TV series. FOX has decided not to order a second season of the Thursday night TV show for the 2020-21 season.
A crime drama, Deputy stars Stephen Dorff as Bill Hollister, a fifth-generation lawman who is thrust into the role of Los Angeles County Sheriff after the elected sheriff dies. The show’s cast also includes Yara Martinez, Brian Van Holt, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Shane Paul McGhie, and Mark Moses.
The first season of Deputy averaged a 0.58 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.67 million viewers. Deputy had a mediocre start in the ratings when it launched in January but the ratings slid downward over the course of the season. The show’s 13th and final installment aired last week.
Deputy is FOX’s second-lowest rated dramatic series of the season. The lowest-rated drama, Almost Family, has already been cancelled.

Every dang time Fox gets a good show they cancel it! The only thing I watch now on Fox is the dang news! This sucks!
For me the only thing left to watch on Fox is “Family Guy”. Dumb decision FOX! First they did it to “Lucifer” along with countless others and now this”!
Love that show! Mad it has been cancelled!! Hate when find a show I like and it gets cancelled and other dumb shows continue…WOW Fox! Guess its always about the mighty dollar!!!
One of best to shows since the all omnipotent producers decided to cancel Longmire. They simply do not want to to see anyone go against what they seem as the “right way”

I Agree with you Charlie. I loved Longmire. Deputy was another great show.i would have watched Season 2. I wanted to see him run for sheriff and get it.
Very sad to see it was cut. Looked forward to it every week and it was only one of a small hand full of network TV shows that I have ever waited for. I guess they only like dumb tv and the shows worth watching get cut.

We just finished watching all of season one of Deputy on Hulu. We love it and we’re looking forward to many more. NOW, We are pissed to find out that there will be no Deputy season 2!!
Unbelievable that Fox canceled The Deputy! One of the shows on that network that I find worth watching. Both my wife and I watch each episode over and over while waiting for the next one. They had a winner with this show, in a sea of crappy shows on their network.
Very disappointed this show has been cancelled. Watched it every week and would have continued to watch. Thought it was one of the better shows on TV. I agree there are many other shows on now that are awful and should be cancelled but Deputy deserves to stay.

This is outrageous. Everytime you get a wonderful show on the air you cancel. I loved this show. You should be ashamed of yourself. I would watch as many seasons you would put on. There are so many dumb shows on tv.
I agree .This was a great series. Stephen Dorff and all the others were really not given a chance. Thirteen episodes is hardly enough time to get established.

Deputy is a great show. We set the DVR to record the series. Watched every week. Very current issues. Great characters. Also enjoyed their use of horses. A modern Cowboy drama set in a big city. I would compare the show to Longmire and Justified.
I am very angry Deputy was cancelled! I loved every aspect of the show. It was one of the best crime drama’s on fox and once again drop one of my favorite new shows once again. I am very disappointed “once again” in fox.
Crying shame.. i binge watched this last week over 2 days and thoroughly enjoyed this series.. gutted the plug has been pulled 🙁
I am very upset about it being cancelled! I loved every aspect of Deputy. It was one of the best darma’s to air in a long time. I am angry Fox “once again” doesn’t realize it. Great show I am angry!
