It looks like its case closed for fans of the Deputy TV series. FOX has decided not to order a second season of the Thursday night TV show for the 2020-21 season.
A crime drama, Deputy stars Stephen Dorff as Bill Hollister, a fifth-generation lawman who is thrust into the role of Los Angeles County Sheriff after the elected sheriff dies. The show’s cast also includes Yara Martinez, Brian Van Holt, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Shane Paul McGhie, and Mark Moses.
The first season of Deputy averaged a 0.58 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.67 million viewers. Deputy had a mediocre start in the ratings when it launched in January but the ratings slid downward over the course of the season. The show’s 13th and final installment aired last week.
Deputy is FOX’s second-lowest rated dramatic series of the season. The lowest-rated drama, Almost Family, has already been cancelled.

Deputy has been one of the very few movies, or series that I have become interested in, in zong time. After being so overwhelmed by politics in the past 4 hears, it was a welcomed change to viewing something way better. I seriously believe Fox has made a mistake by ending the Deputy series. As a retired cop, the things that happened in Deputy were somewhat right on as to what can and does happen in real life. I was expecting a second season of Deputy. I didn’t think it got a chance to prove itself.
I can’t belive Fox went and cancelled this show. this needs to be brought back , I looked at all the ratings for this show and they were excellent
This was a really good show and just needed to be hyped more a lot of people never heard of it which doesn’t mean a bad show just means bad promotion of the show. I LOVEDthe show. They have one coming up about someone gaining a kidney talk about ackward and boring. I think this show the Deputy should get another shot
This was one of my favorite shows! I looked forward to Thursdays because of Deputy! I’m a senior citizen and I watch a lot of TV at night. This was one of the best new shows out. I’m so disappointed with Fox! I’m senior, but I’m neither old nor stupid. I just happen to fall, obviously in the wrong demographic group. Give us something to watch, other than sex-filled, moronic, what you call, comedy. Bring it back!!

You really need to reconsider bringing Deputy back. Deputy was a great show when it was on and considering your current line up I’m certain it would shine even brighter.

Was awaiting season 2 of deputy. Loved this show and I don’t watch much. Hate all the reality fluff shows. Oh well will just now watch less and read more!
Fox is really getting on my last nerve!!! This is the third show that had REAL POTENTIAL AND THEY GO AND CANCEL IT!!!
Finally a awesome show and they pull the plug. This show was a combination of everything to keep you wanting more. Right now I have been wanting a season 2 !
Come on tv executives! Get a grip and do what’s right and get it back on the air.
this was the BEST show of the season. I showed all my friends the episodes and they ALL loved it . It was like Longmire in the city. Please find a way to continue the series. It was the best thing to watch on tv
