Could Designated Survivor be moving to Netflix? According to The Hollywood Reporter, the streaming service is considering picking up the cancelled ABC TV show for a third season.
As reported earlier, ABC has cancelled the political drama after two seasons. The cast includes Kiefer Sutherland, Natascha McElhone, Adan Canto, LaMonica Garrett, Kal Penn, Maggie Q, Malik Yoba, Paulo Costanzo, Zoe McLellan, Ben Lawson, Tanner Buchanan, and Mckenna Grace.
Per THR, Netflix is thinking about saving Designated Survivor for a third season. The streaming service holds the international SVOD rights to the political drama and has a history of rescuing cancelled network series.
However, sources say there is no deal on the table yet since Hulu holds the U.S. streaming rights to Designated Survivor and it’s an expensive show to produce.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Designated Survivor? Would you watch the show on Netflix?
Please renew this show. They do a good job showing what goes on behind the scene at the WH, or could!
I’d really like to see him in a close election but to win it to help him feel he was wanted as the president.
Yes! Please bring to Netflix!

Enjoy the show and hope it can be picked up.
I don’t have Netflix but if they resurrect Designated Survivor, I’m in.
Me too! That one show would make me a Netflix subscriber!
Absolutely! Love this show…
No that sucks because I don’t have Netflix and can’t afford all the different tv stuff
Actually yes. And, since I don’t use Netflix so much this would encourage me to switch over and use the service more.
the show should continue until he is elected on his own for a full term
Cmon, Netflix, save this show! It’s a great show, love it, love Kiefer Sutherland, and please, while you’re at it, save Lucifer also!
yes please bring it to Netflix great show always watched it love the cast
Netflix needs to pick up Lucifer also!!
Please do not cancel this, it is very interesting and fascinating to watch
Do you guys think this is to make up for the loss of House of Cards? I thought Netflix was getting away from this type of “save”.
Oh, please, please, save this show. It was such a brilliant show, I sat down a watched both full series of 1 & 2 in 3 night’s running. Fantastic cast and a great story line. I fealt that we were left hanging when the last show finished, so it would be great if a third series was put on Netflix.
