What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the ABC television network,Emergence stars Allison Tolman, Alexa Swinton, Owain Yeoman, Ashley Aufderheide, Robert Bailey Jr., Zabryna Guevara, Donald Faison, and Clancy Brown. It takes place in Peconic Bay on Long Island, New York. In the series, Jo Evans (Tolman) is a newly divorced police chief and the mother of a teenage daughter named Mia (Aufderheide). Jo ends up taking in a young child named Piper (Swinton) who is found at the site of a mysterious accident and she has no memory of what happened. Jo’s investigation into the child’s mystery draws her into a conspiracy that is larger than she could have imagined. A series of bizarre electronic disruptions, unexplained forces, and a strange cryptic symbol are also all tied to the young girl. Other characters include: Jo’s father, Ed (Brown), who’s also battling cancer; Jo’s concerned ex-husband and Bree’s father, Alex Evans (Faison); investigator Benny Gallagher (Yeoman); Chris Minetto (Bailey Jr.), a police officer; and Jo’s best friend, Abby Frasier (Guevara), a pediatrician.

Will ABC cancel or renew Emergence for season two? The ratings have been dropping and weren’t all that great to start. The show does better in delayed viewing but I have doubts that that will be enough to save Emergence from being cancelled. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. We love this show and really hope it is renewed. It’s got an intelligent and interesting mix of characters and science fiction, something rare for network TV. Of course, these kinds of shows often don’t last, sadly…We hope that this one will go on!!

My whole family and friends all love Emergence! It’s so rare to have a show where all of the characters are so strong! This show keeps you guessing and invested from the first moment! Please please for a change keep an original well written show; good t.v shows are already a rarity please don’t cancel another GREAT one!!! We are all waiting on the edge of our seats to find out what will happen in Season 2! Keep em coming!
I totally enjoy Emergence! I HATE reality shows and am ready by tired if them. I live reality everyday so like to watch TV to get away. Emergence is fresh and new, with a story-line that begs you to watch the next episode. The acting is good, and it’s nice to finally see a major character (the chief) who is a female in a top position who is not a model and is a single parent, divorced, and has a heart. Please don’t cancel this show.
I am so tired of reality shows that I seriously considered just unplugging the tv. Then Emergence . We have a woman who looks like a woman being sharp, smart, loving and nurturing. A little love interest also. Good show. Great idea. Better acting than some I’ve attempted to watch. Please do not cancel this show.
My mom and I are loving this show! Please don’t cancel it for at least another season! I would take a few more seasons, but if we can only get one more then ends need wrapped up!

Even though Season 1 wrapped up some of the story lines there is more meat on the bone and I would love to see the show renewed for season 2.

I love the way Allison Tolman as Jo Evans and Alexa Swinton as Piper have such nurturing personalities. Such a family dynamic. I wish my family treated me that way. Ashley Auferheide she and Alexa Swinton love each other off the set even. Wonderful acting those too! Ashley Auferheide she is great on the show. She has such a cute love for Piper. Donald Faison as Alex Evens He just loves everyone on the show what a great pick for Jo Evens! Please dont cancel…it needs an earlier time slot like 8pm so fans of STRANGER THINGS can see it. Reminds me os Stranger things without the monster….kids would love this show…needs early time slot…8pm.

I hope EMERGENCE is renewed. I love the show. I hope it doesn’t leave us hanging. If it is cancelled I hope another network picks it up. It’s a quality show.
Love the show really keeps me on the edge of my seat. Due to the air time I have to watch it on demand. Hoping it doesn’t get canceled. I agree with the others commentary, too many stupid reality shows keep this one.
