What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, Empire stars Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Bryshere Y. Gray, Jussie Smollett, Trai Byers, Gabourey Sidibe, Ta’Rhonda Jones, Serayah, Andre Royo, Rhyon Nicole Brown, and Nicole Ari Parker. The series revolves around the Empire Entertainment company, founder Lucious Lyon (Howard), his three sons (Gray, Smollett, and Byers), and their mother, Cookie (Henson). The Lyons lost the company in season four and season five finds the clan still trying to reclaim Empire two years later.
Season Five Ratings
The fifth season of Empire on FOX averaged a 1.35 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.52 million viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 27% and 20%, respectively. Find out how Empire stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will FOX cancel or renew Empire for season six? Though they are down, the ratings are still the strongest of FOX’s shows. Given the state of the rest of FOX’s slate, I have no doubt it will be renewed (despite the controversy surrounding Smollett). I have no idea why networks want to cancel
Such an amazing series a little decline and they start threatening to cancel ,i cant wait to watch the episodes and the listen to great music and watch genuine acting.Keep this series please
This is one of the best series, i have no idea why network shake at the smallest declines you have a solid series with amazing story line acters/actresses i love watching it love the drama it brings me .

You know everyone of the stations cancels the shows with no ending. I do not feel that this is fair to the consumer at all. Empire is literally one of the greatest black dramas on TV that is not a comedy. I really feel tha this show should be left maintaining until the conclusion.

agreed. I liked this show but to be honest wouldn’t miss it if it ends. the storylines are just too repetitive now.
