Good Witch was cancelled by Hallmark recently, and the stars of the series – Catherine Bell, Kat Barrell, and James Denton – have reacted to the news that there won’t be an eighth season. Bell appeared in the Good Witch series and films for 13 years, but that is all coming to an end soon. The series finale for the drama will air on July 25th at 9 PM, and it is titled “The Wedding.”
Per Deadline, the Hallmark Channel episode sees the Merriwick cousins getting ready to face the mysterious force putting their family legacy at risk while changes are in store for others.

Denton said the following in a statement:
“It would be unseemly to complain about your show being cancelled after seven seasons, and I won’t. I’ve been very fortunate to have been on other long-running series, but Good Witch was special. The fans were so devoted to the show and I’m disappointed for them, but I hope they know how much the actors appreciated their vocal support. The cast was the nicest collection of wildly talented people I’ve ever been around. The producers treated us extremely well, and I’m happy to still have two movies to make with the network so I’m not saying goodbye to the Hallmark audience yet.”
What do you think? Were you surprised that the Good Witch TV show was cancelled by Hallmark? Do you plan to watch the finale later this month? Would you have watched season eight?
Hallmark is making the wrong decision! The Good Witch was an awesome series of movies & tv episodes!!! I hope it finds another home somewhere else!
I’ve never looked forward to any show as I did Good Witch. Sundays will be sad.
I love the show. I am disappointed they cancelled. I watch all of the old ones and the new ones. I wish they would reconsider.
I’m getting rid of cable & thought about getting hallmark, but they have changed so much I’m not sure I want to pay to see reruns & sub par movies
I have loved Good Witch because it was a good wholesome show. This year I was very disappointed in the show and the direction it was going. So, no I would not watch a season 8 under those circumstances.
Was safddened to hear Good Witch has been cancelled. It’s my favorite series. Even though they’ve cancelled the series, I hope rhe Hallmark powers that be will continue making an annual Good Witch Halloween movie as they once did. Always were great fun to watch! Was pleased to hear James Denton has two Hallmarks movies in the works.
I am so sorry to see the ending of this wonderful story. I do believe that Hallmark is making a mistake and that we can should continue having the story told. I am praying that Adam will Marry Stephanie. They deserve happiness and we deserve to be able to leave the show with a smile on our face.
I am sooooo disappointed Good Witch was cancelled. It’s a show like no other. The actirs
I’m really mad that they canceled the good witch I haven’t been watching it since it started it’s a little silly but it’s something better than all the crap that they put on the other channels why did you cancel it
Totally enjoyed Good Witch. So pleasant to have a show to watch that leaves you feeling good. I sincerely hope it is picked up by another network.
Definitely would have watched season 8. Love the show and looked forward to Sunday nights!
Very disappointed Good Witch was cancelled! Really enjoy the characters and show. Week be very sad to see it go!
Truely unfair for Hallmark to cancel Good Witch …..this show has helped so many of us during COVID-19. They, the cast and crew risked their own health to film season 7 with new show writers. It’s the best show on Hallmark.
Totally agree.. it was a lifesaver during the pandemic
Once the kids went away to college I wondered if it could hold on the new cousin is just not a good story sorry but I have loved Good Witch from the beginning and still watch. It has lost a lot. I will miss this great story.
So sorry to see Good Witch go I loved watching it. What was the reason for cancellation?
