What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the ABC television network, Last Man Standing follows straight-talker Mike Baxter (Tim Allen), a man surrounded by women. While this sporting goods store marketing guy is blessed with common sense, Mike is a little low on what some call political correctness and others call manners. Also starring are Nancy Travis as Mike’s wife, Vanessa; Molly Ephraim as daughter Mandy; Kaitlyn Dever as daughter Eve; Amanda Fuller as daughter Kristin; Jordan Masterson as Kristen’s beau, Ryan; Flynn Morrison as grandson Boyd; Jonathan Adams as neighbor Chuck Larabee; Christoph Sanders as co-worker Kyle Anderson; and Hector Elizondo as bossman Ed Alzate.
Season Six Ratings
The sixth season of Last Man Standing averaged a 1.15 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.41 million viewers. Compared to the fifth season, that’s down by 5% in the demo and down by 5% in total viewers. Learn how Last Man Standing stacks up against the other ABC TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Last Man Standing is still performing solidly for ABC. In addition, the sitcom does well in syndication. In first run, Last Man Standing typically wins its Friday night timeslot in the coveted 18-49 year old viewer demographic. The comedy series has also been outperforming the sophomore season of Dr. Ken, for which it serves as lead-in. It seems likely ABC will renew Last Man Standing for a seventh season, as long as the cast is willing and production costs are affordable.

What were they thinking ? I don’t think the show had lower ratings than some of the shows that are being kept. Everyone I know has been watching the show faithfully!
I do not get it. This is the best comedy on tv. Great writing and great acting. It makes me laugh, but it also makes me think. Sad day for the tv viewers who have so little quality shows on tv to choose from. Please reconsider.
I love Last Man Standing & I’m angry it has been cancelled! I’ll watch it or tape it at any time on any station!!
My whole family loves this show. It is the only show that allows for both sides (Democrat and Republican) to be heard from. The way show are now they are dedicated to left only.

Last Man Standing is one of our favorite series. My husband and I are both fed up with political correctness – seems it only applies if you’re a bleeding heart democrat. We LIKE that Last Man Standing seemed more real than all the scripted ‘reality’ shows. And we sure appreciated it 100 times more than the filth on TV these days. But what can you do when the network executives cate more about kissing democrat butts than ratings and what the public wants. One of the funniest shows. Promotes family values. Sure hope it is picked up by another channel. Wise up ABC—so sick of shows with filthy language and no morals!
Why is this show being canceled?
One of the best shows on TV. What is wrong with the people in charge of ABC?
Will not watch any of your others of news or news anymore.
I think it’s a travesty it was cancelled when it was in the top ten in the ratings. There is no other reason for that except censorship. We have free speech in America, and that is important! Enough political “correctness” (who says the liberal end of the political spectrum is the correct one, anyway?). I could not be more disappointed. Funny show, clever writing, great acting – it was my favorite. I don’t watch anything else on ABC, so easy for me to boycott them now without “Last Man Standing.” Scary world we live in.

So very sad to lose a “family tradition” of watching this fabulous, kid-friendly show with my family over pizza. It is so difficult to find something that entertains both adults and kids at the same time. This show fits that bill and I am so disgusted with what is available out there for entertainment. Too bad not everyone can recognize that essential. Thank you to the wonderful writers and especially the cast from this show, we will miss you! You have become like our family and we love you all!
I think it’s awful to drop a show over political views! What network doesn’t have their own political views? Check out the Carmichael show. I don’t always agree with some episodes but it’s still has great content and it makes people laugh. LMS made our whole family laugh and one of the few shows we sit town all together as a family! Why are their exceptions worthy? What has happened to our constitution that we no longer have free speech or only the left is allowed? This show is an updated version of All In The Family ( the Bunkers) That show ran for how many years? There is also part of the set in the Smithsonian!!!! The writers on LMS are Awesome!!! This is the best comedy show on TV!!!!! Excuses, Excuses ABC!!!!!!!!
I think it’s awful to drop a highly rated show because if political views. Hers. What network doesn’t have their own political views and gets to stay on? What about the Carmichael show? Why are their exceptions in a supposedly free speech country! Where does our consti5even stand today? This sucks! I and our family only agree on one program all together and they took that away too!
Would really love to see Last Man Standing come back on the air. It’s the type of show that has been missing from television for a long time and when we finally get one you cancel it. That answer me why I don’t watch ABC any more.
Found it on Hallmark Channel. Love it! I would love it if it went to CMT but if it went back to ABC , that would the only show I would watch on that channel!
