When ABC cancelled Last Man Standing after six seasons in 2017, it looked like that was the end of this comedy series. Then, FOX revived it in 2018. Now, three seasons later, the show is ending once again. Is this truly the end for Last Man Standing or, could the Baxters return for a 10th season or special event someday? Stay tuned.
A family comedy series, Last Man Standing stars Tim Allen, Nancy Travis, Hector Elizondo, Amanda Fuller, Christoph Sanders, Molly McCook, Jordan Masterson, Jonathan Adams, and Krista Marie Yu. The series revolves around Mike Baxter (Allen), the marketing director of the Outdoor Man sporting goods stores and a “man’s man”. His family doesn’t see eye-to-eye with him so it can sometimes be a little tough for Mike to stand his ground and stay in touch with his inner man. In season nine, the series jumps ahead into the near future. Mike and Vanessa contemplate their own future, including Mike’s imminent retirement from Outdoor Man — and who could be his successor.

What do you think? Do you like the Last Man Standing TV series on FOX? Would you have watched a 10th season?
I’d love to see a 10th season of Last Man Standing!!!
The show is still terrific… he’s leaving on a high note. All good things must come to an end. It will not revive even tho Mike’s daughter will be CEO. The dynamic will be lost.
It was great seeing Kaitlyn Dever again as Eve.
Love this show! Can’t imagine this show going off the air. Need to keep it going for at least one more season and put some advertising dollars behind it to generate additional viewership. Sad, especially given the broad range of really lousy shows currently on air and surviving the cancellation axe.
I really love the show. I will really miss it when it is gone for good. I wish they would keep going for more seasons.
I wouldn’t mind if Joe got written out of the show. I mean, what could it hurt? It’s the last season. He’s just a whiny, and unfunny idiot. I don’t mind Jay Leno, but the character is no longer funny to me. Another character could get more screen time that way. Where’s Bonnie, for example? You’d think Ed got divorced again. And what’s going on with Jen? Her cynicism isn’t cute anymore. She’s just kind of jerky. Mike can pull that off, and we know that he’s messing with people. And they know it. OK, we get it. All grown… Read more »
I love the show and will miss it a lot. The kids r grown and Eve is no longer or even the first grandson. Don’t like Jay being a stupid person and don’t want any of the bad black stuff brot in. I watch it to get away fr that crap. It is time to go but I will be sad.
Thank you writers! The show quit being funny after season 7. Now it’s going PC with this last episode about Chuck being arrested. The very thing that made this show funny has now been turned on its head. Trust me writers when I tell you…no one watches this show…or any other for that matter…to be indoctrinated by PC pablum. We have the MSM for that…24/7/365. Unfortunately…for those of us looking for an escape from the shrill voices of division…for just a lousy 30 minutes…there is NO escape. But I get it. You have to impress your peers with your WOKENESS.… Read more »
It’s not totally like they’ve never gotten into that stuff before. They once had an episode where one of their employees was found out to be an illegal immigrant. That was during the ABC run. And if anything, the thing with Chuck stood out from the other unfunny stuff in the episode.
The show is unwatchable this season and has really lost its appeal since the new mandy was cast
I wouldn’t put it all on her, but now I definitely feel the absence of the original actress. I was trying to at least give the new actress some credit. I get she’s portraying Mandy at a different phase in her life, but she’s almost too different.
I like this show but unfortunately I gotta say that maybe a ninth season wasn’t a good idea. I haven’t found the episodes so far to be all that enjoyable. Season 7 was the last season that was enjoyable because in spite of the changes I still found it funny. Season 8 was not a good season in my opinion, and so far season 9 is no better. And I don’t know if it’s just me, but the character of Joe is on my nerves now because every episode is the same with him with the car restoration stuff. I… Read more »
Season 9 has not been very funny at all. It’s really sad, actually. I think setting the show in the future was a mistake. There’s no frame of reference for the audience. All of the other seasons where based in “the present” and that’s where a lot of the laughs came from. These season, they just seem to focus on family issues and situations and nothing is all that funny. Think of all of the missed opportunities for Biden admin jokes this season…I dont know. It just isnt that funny and its sad. Earlier seasons are hilarious. “New” Mandy sucks.… Read more »
You nailed it Bubba! The fact the show now stinks makes it easier to let it go.
Yeah I hate to say it but I agree. I’ve just been recording them and not watching them live because I haven’t felt the need to. I wasn’t expecting the last season to be the best season but I didn’t expect for it to be this weak so far.
Please boost ratings so funny and good love this show look forward good sitcom not much on these days ever since this past summer. More people worth watching every episode.
Please boost ratings so funny love Tim Allen broski awesome comedian dude and good friend to my uncle meet one time.
I will watch the next episode to see where they go with this season. I was not impressed with the 1st episode at all. I did not find it funny at all. They need new writers at the very least. I would also prefer the original family cast members also.
The main thing I like about the first episode of the season is that they skipped past the pandemic. I think they did that as a way to try to make people feel hopeful.
Yes to this season 9 Nd a future season 10
This is the last season
Love this show so funny look forward this season so good too. I heard reason final season is happening got sick from coronavirus pandemic cast tested negative don’t want do because of that unfortunately really enjoy it tim Allen is the best comedian really good actor.
I think I’ll pass on the rest of season 9. I don’t like the new cast and the plot was weak on ep1.
I have also been disappointed in the episodes. What happened to Vanessas mother, I thought she married the old guy. They have yet to show Kristens daughter, or son. Where is Jenny the foreign exchange student. Kristens husband looks like he needs to wash his hair.
I know that the actor who played the older Boyd left the show. I guess they never replaced him. They barely even mention him.
