Law & Order: SVU isn’t going away anytime soon. Today, NBC renewed Law & Order SVU for a 19th season.
The long-running legal drama follows an elite squad of detectives who investigate sexually based crimes in New York City. The cast includes Mariska Hargitay, Ice-T, Kelli Giddish, Peter Scanavino, and Raul Esparza.
It makes sense that NBC renewed Law & Order: SVU. Eighteen years in and the series is still going strong. Season 18 of the series is currently averaging a 1.39 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.908 million viewers, making it one of the network’s top-rated shows for the 2016-2017 season. It seems there’s no stopping this Dick Wolf juggernaut.
Deadline confirmed the renewal, this evening.

I love this show, i think it deserves 20 season or more, i love Leutenit Benson. Olivia, Everyone its great, its Sas that Me. Meloni left the series, tv eh were great together, keep up coming with more Seasons Mr Wolf

Yes!, favorite show on Wednesday nights .. Sure miss the old crew ,. but some wanted to do their own thing ,{ movies other shows, book deals } , one quit because of raise, Glad the team is back .. with “Munch aka Richard Belzer , is very dear to my heart , made few guest appearance since he left ,& remember him when he was on Homicide ” Life on the Streets ” , have all his books , love his movies , great Comedian too , { dry humor }
I don’t watch it anymore. With Stabler and Munch gone, it just isn’t the same. I think the original Law and Order was better.
