TV show description:
A new take on the family comedy, this series divides each episode into quarters. One quarter focuses on a branch of the Short family before bringing them together for the conclusion.
At the top of the family tree are John (James Brolin) and Joan (Dianne Wiest). Although in their twilight years, the pair are still very much in love and aren’t shy about their active sex life. John, about to turn 70, worries he hasn’t much time left and obsesses with his own funeral plans.
In his early thirties, Matt (Thomas Sadoski) still lives at home. This arrangement is proving awkward for his own romantic affairs with co-worker Colleen (Angelique Cabral). Her ex-fiance and dog are struggling to come to terms with the breakup.
Highly traumatized by the horror of childbirth are first-time parents Greg (Colin Hanks) and Jen (Zoe Lister-Jones). They are also shocked to have been released from the hospital with a newborn baby and no training manual.
Taking their son Tyler (Niall Cunningham) to University, eldest sibling Heather (Betsy Brandt) and her husband Tim (Dan Bakkedahl) are also dealing with change. Reluctantly letting their son fly from the nest, Tyler is packed off with a sandwich and some fatherly advice on losing his virginity. Both are unwelcome.
Episode #79 — Reverse Burden District Germany
When Tim and Heather realize that being grandparents is very far off in the future, they decide to have another baby. Also, Joan gets frustrated when she keeps getting tasked with watching the grandkids; Jen and Greg decide to look for a new house; and Matt gets a job offer in Germany, which is problematic for Colleen and Lucas.
First aired: June 27, 2019.
What do you think? Do you like the Life in Pieces TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?
DO NOT CANCEL, this has been a great funny show, it is refreshing and not just another stupid reality show.
It’s sort of like Modern Family, but WAY funnier. Please don’t cancel it!!!
By far the funniest sitcom to come along in decades! Not many shows can make you laugh out loud throughout each episode. The cast members each bring their own quirky, delightful hilarity to the audience. The delay in this season and I’m sure, a greatly shortened episode order, has really been disappointing. C’mon CBS, give the fans what they want, full seasons of Life in Pieces!
This show has to be the most hilarious show on TV. I don’t know why it has taken so long to be renewed. I thought it would have been back on last fall.
Life in Pieces is a very funny, family show, one that we looked forward to from week to week! When I read you were renewing, I did my “happy dance”! We can’t wait until April and a double episode. Thanks for giving us fans a gift
This is one of the funniest shows on tv please continue it.
fantastic comedy with awesome actors – we need this show to be renewed for our weekly laugh-a-thon
Every character brings something uniquely humorous, and there’s nothing else like it. We keep scratching our heads and wondering why it hasn’t returned. Bring it back!
This by far the BEST show on TV. If you don’t get it stop watching. Love the dry humor!
Love this show I hope it’s NOT CANCELED.
We love this show, and have been waiting for it to come back. One of the best shows on TV, and it makes you actually laugh out loud! Please bring it back.
Love this quirky comedy. One of the few that has a good ensemble!! Bring it back asap……please.
Life In Pieces is on of our favorite shows to join in and follow, it is a must watch for the grade of esteem and chemistry of cast and sharing our own field of Water of Life, next breath, we all share the scenes, collectively, that is why we look forward episodes.
One of the better shows on TV. Please do not cancel.
I really like it, too soon to pull the plug.
Please keep on so funny!!
