TV show description:
A drama from creator Jim Gavin, the Lodge 49 TV show is a modern-day fable that’s set in Long Beach, California. The series centers on Sean Dudley (Russell). Dud, as he is known, is a former surfer, who is still trying to come to grips with the loss of his father.

After his father dies and the family business goes belly up, Dud’s middle-class life is in tatters. He then winds up at Lodge 49, the home of the Ancient and Benevolent Order of the Lynx, a fraternal organization. Dud soon takes comfort in the enigmatic old club, its cheap beer, and unusual alchemical philosophy.

It is at Lodge 49, where Dud meets Ernie Fontaine (Jennings), who becomes his mentor. A plumbing supplies salesman by day, Ernie is also a Luminous Knight of the Order. Although Dud’s practical twin sister, Liz (Cassidy), can’t help but express her doubts about the place, Dud follows Ernie deeper into lodge-life, replete with dark secrets and conspiracy theories.

One of Lodge 49’s regulars is Long Beach Port Harbor Patrol officer Scott Mills (Kramer), a straight-forward man who loves the water and also plays drums for a cover band. Scott is the third husband of Connie (Emond), a journalist and word aficionado. Finally, lodge bartender and philosopher Blaise St. John (Pasquesi) also runs a marijuana dispensary.

For too long, Dud had just been floundering through life. Now, thanks to the lodge and its members, he starts to find a sense of purpose and begins to acknowledge both his hopes and fears.
