Is Lucifer in danger of another cancellation? Recently, executive producer Ildy Modrovich discussed the decision to end the Netflix TV show after five seasons, reports The Wrap.
The drama series, which was picked up by Netflix after being cancelled by FOX, stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, who leaves Hell for Los Angeles. The cast also includes German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Scarlett Estevez, Inbar Lavi, Vinessa Vidotto and Graham McTavish.
On Twitter, Modrovich told fans they don’t need to campaign for another season of Lucifer. In her statement, the showrunner revealed Netflix put a lot of consideration into their decision:
Many are wondering if they should fight for more?? And while we feel just as sad as many of you do that this marvelous ride is coming to an end, a fight won’t change things right now. But we spoke to our partners at Netflix and WarnerBros [sic], and you should all know TREMENDOUS care and consideration was put into making this decision.
In fact, the whole reason they decided to announce that it was our fifth and final season simultaneously is because they know how devoted and passionate our fans (and we!) are and wanted to give y’all (and us!) as much time as they could to accept and process the news. And for that we’re incredibly grateful.”

I really hope that they will continue Lucifer, the 4th season was also much shorter then the previous seasons. Please please please!!!!

I do wish they wouldn’t end Lucifer. Every show that we love to watch is being canceled. Very disappointing. Maybe I should just start watching movies than I know they are done at the end as I just keep getting mad. They start a great show get you hooked and then stop. Getting tired of paying almost $200. A month on cable when all they do is cancel good shows to put shows I won’t watch on.
Please reconsider to renew Lucifer. This is such a great show and the hour just flies by.
It keeps you on your toes with twists and turns. Not too many great shows on TV anymore. Pretty soon all reality shows on TV that I’m Not interested in at all.

I am saddened that Lucifer will be ending with season 5, it’s 1 of my all time favorite shows!!! However I do understand that there is only so much more they can add to this very specialized show…..I would think that the writers will come up with an AMAZING show ending (God gets involved and gives Lucifer the gift of being human so he can have a normal life with Cloe!!!) Then maybe Maze can be the “Queen Of Hell” haha
Please bring Lucifer back for another season. After Cloe admitted she loved Lucifer that should not be left hanging.
Good, now Cloe has an entire extra season to get back to being a sensible strong independent woman & mum (season 1) instead of the dribbly dweep she was reduced to the following seasons. I loved the fact they did not fall for the done to death ‘happy ever after’ to end season 4. I much prefered the kittenish lean and dynamic Tom to the lumbering overtrained sexdoll he was trained up to in the last show (very sexy but soooo mainstream) but thats america for you.
Looking forward to season 5.

You really left us hanging. There is still a lot more to happen what about the baby. How does he grow up? Cloe now telling Lucifer she loves him.
