Is Lucifer in danger of another cancellation? Recently, executive producer Ildy Modrovich discussed the decision to end the Netflix TV show after five seasons, reports The Wrap.
The drama series, which was picked up by Netflix after being cancelled by FOX, stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, who leaves Hell for Los Angeles. The cast also includes German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, Aimee Garcia, Scarlett Estevez, Inbar Lavi, Vinessa Vidotto and Graham McTavish.
On Twitter, Modrovich told fans they don’t need to campaign for another season of Lucifer. In her statement, the showrunner revealed Netflix put a lot of consideration into their decision:
Many are wondering if they should fight for more?? And while we feel just as sad as many of you do that this marvelous ride is coming to an end, a fight won’t change things right now. But we spoke to our partners at Netflix and WarnerBros [sic], and you should all know TREMENDOUS care and consideration was put into making this decision.
In fact, the whole reason they decided to announce that it was our fifth and final season simultaneously is because they know how devoted and passionate our fans (and we!) are and wanted to give y’all (and us!) as much time as they could to accept and process the news. And for that we’re incredibly grateful.”

Please don’t cancel this show! We love watching this funny show, great actors especially Lucifer and Maize. The humor is great, the storyline is great, just please don’t do this! What will us fans do???
No it’s a great show & deserves as many seasons that fans want or actors wish to do. I mean this is on the level with Supernatural and they are doing their last season #15!!!!

Huge fan. Want more seasons. Not in the least bored yet. With do many mediocre shows presented I can’t imagine why you would cancel one so popular.
This is the best show on any platform. I have re-watched the series numerous times and still find it more entertaining than any of the new shows. Tom Ellis is amazing and addicting- Netflix should want to keep this show in its lineup! More! More! More!

Season six please
Lucifer is the best show running by far. They’ve had bad shows run for longer, why cancel a good one? Please reconsider this decision. I’ve never been so hooked on a show like this. It has a ton of potential and the cast is amazing. I always look forward to the next episode. I’ve grown to love and relate to some of the characters, that’s why this show is my favorite. Please reconsider. It is a blast. #teamlucifer
The only good thing about knowing this is the end of the road for Lucifer is that they can tie everything up and not leave us with one hell of a big cliffhanger! This show is excellent at ending the season on a cliffhanger! Otherwise, is be happy with more seasons!!!!
Please reconsider canceling Lucifer one the best series I’ve seen on Netflix in a long time. Maybe you should consider some of the other series that don’t appeal to the audience. Like all these about prison etc. Lucifer is a comedy drama n even brings the stories of the Bible into the show. A great cast. Please consider or maybe Hulu can pick up. Netflix can cancel other series that are considered lifeless putting it nicely. Thank you
I can honestly say this is a one good series n it’s sad that it’s coming to an end. There is so much to it and bringing to light about certain stories from the Bible n characters and easier to understand for the younger generation. I just hope it has a good ending. Hoping Lucifer n Chole end up together. A person with kindness. N love towards someone can turn the meanest person to an angel.
