TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Please keep this funny, funny show. The show is well written and intelligent which is very hard to find in this day and age of dumbing down. We love, love this show!! Lucifer is a great show and we never miss a episode. Well done!!
Please don’t cancel Lucifer. It is funny and the plot is great My favorite show!
I LOVE LUCIFER!!!!! Please don’t cancel it! It is THE BEST show on TV right now> Love Tom Ellis! I thought he was great on Rush! I loved that show too, but sadly it got cancelled, so please don’t take away my Lucifer!!!
Please don’t cancel Lucifer! My husband and I both love this show and look forward to watching it each week.
“Pops” certainly has a few twists especially with Trixie. Up until now Trixie has been an irritation as far as Lucifer is concerned but in this episode he seems to be genuinely repulsed by her. Could it be that Lucifer is turning to the light side but doesn’t know it yet? In the fire scene this is the first time Lucifer in his own Luciferney way asks God for help. While some will argue that the dinner scene is not relevant it really brings out all the lies and it’s quite ironic that it is Lucifer who lays the truth… Read more »
One of the best shows on tv right now!! Please don’t cancel this like rush that was a good one to but it was cancelled!!
Perhaps Fox should take a look at the ratings. While they aren’t as high as NCIS the ratings are fairly consistent which says that “Lucifer” has a consistent and loyal fan base. It’s great the way the writers have developed the characters and the themes without hitting us on the head with the figurative sledge hammer.
Lucifer is delightful and sexy. However, as a review, I would like to see more writing with sharp remarks as displayed in the Pilot episode. That show was hilarious and subsequent shows have been funny but not quite as sharp. Never mind the church ladies. They want to ban Halloween too.
Please don’t cancel. Lucifer is hilarious and very charming. Love the show!
Please keep LuciFer on!! Tom Ellis is perfection in this role.
I think the show should surely be renewed.. by all means for so many reasons
its very funny lines… and the stories..are usually good. and of course
tom ellis as luci… is a winner…. for sure… for many reason.s…
I enjoy the reruns… on demand..and watch them also… about time something good to watch … these reality shows.. have got to go.. way to o many of those..
and quite idiotic…do thes e people care what we are doing…and why….
really…. keep going luci….. .
I hope this series comes out on DVD. Where I live the On Demand seems to have stopped with episode 8, “Wingman” This series definitely needs to be renewed as there are so many possibilities for future story lines.
Great show!!!!
this show is badass!!!! I hate waiting 6 days for another episode…I want it all ..im addicted to it.
So am I
this show ‘LUCIFER’ is the only reason I like Monday night……just keep it comin
I love this show. Lucifer is so handsome and can be funny or serious. All the characters work together so well. Scripts are excellent. I will be so disappointed if the show is cancelled.
I really look forward to this show every week. I adore Tom Ellis and was so upset that they cancelled Rush. I started watching for him, but I stayed because of the humor and the great storyline. The whole cast is amazing. I love Trixie and Chloe and Maize and the psychologist. Just purely entertaining.
The one-liners are priceless. I just laughed all the way through “Pops” especially when Lucifer says OG when he rejects Chloe’s advances. I hope this series is renewed.
yes I agree… this is so enjoyable…to watch… and so many funny lines…. now that is entertainment…for sure… hpe it renews… as very dissapointed when rush…. was not….& of course tom ellis and that lovely englis accent.. cld listen to him all eve.
I never saw Ellis in Rush but he used to be in a BBC series that I watched. He was and is a great scene stealer. The one thing Ellis brings to Lucifer is that touch of humour which is needed on what can be an extremely “heavy” theme. Loved the scene where Trixie and Maze first meet and Trixie says she wants to be a zookeeper and Maze’s response that she used to be one.
Lucifer should definitely be renewed. On the serious side Lucifer is getting some lessons from his father and slowly seems to be getting the message. These lessons are being delivered in a darkly humorous way. It’s interesting that when Chloe and her mother are arguing Trixie goes to see Lucifer instead of Dan and meets Maze who seems to like her. What does that say? I loved it when Lucifer was stirring the pot at the dinner and seemed quite oblivious to what he was doing. Maze and Linda forming a friendship! I wouldn’t have guessed that in a million… Read more »
