TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Renewed
Love this show. KEEPER
Each episode gets better and better
Fab show please keep.
Should be renewed
I will really miss Lucifer if it is cancelled.
Definitely should return. I absolutely love this TV program, especially Tom Ellis. This series is funny and dark.
Please keep Lucifer on the air it is awesome
I like this show, it’s interesting and different. It reminded me of Castle at first but the story is developing nicely and it always takes a few episodes before things begin to gel for the cast and story. The show has quite a few threads going but to me the main one is about redemption and forgiveness and how could anyone claiming to be a Christian object to that?
I wonder if those objecting to the show are doing it based on its title alone. You are not the only one who sees Lucifer as a story about redemption and if the series is renewed perhaps it could continue the current story line. The Lucifer we see in “A priest walks…bar” is not the same Lucifer we saw in the first episode.
I love this show. I’ve heard that certain groups of people find the show offensive to the Christian people. I can respect that but I don’t feel the show should be cancelled because of it. Why not block it? Or don’t watch if you feel so strongly about it. What about the people who actually like the show? I For one don’t feel that Lucifer is being portrayed as good. He is after all the devil and He sleeps around and encourages others to do thing they may not normally do. I feel that the show may be misunderstood.
This show has so many layers to it and many of the groups objecting to “Lucifer” may be objecting because of the title. If these groups actually watched the show they would see that theological issues such as free will and predestination are being addressed without the proverbial figurative sledge hammer..
I also meant to add that we have to question who is the more moral person: Lucifer or Dan. Lucifer doesn’t pretend to be anything other than who he says he is but Dan, who is the Palmetto shooter allows his wife to be ostracised by the rest of the police officers in her precinct
Lucifer just keeps getting better and better and we can see a complete story development over all the episodes so far. I would not be the least bit surprised to learn that Linda is the one sent by Luci’s father (ep 1), not Chloe and I think it will be Linda who convinces Luci to forgive Maze for her betrayal. What is interesting with the Luci- Linda dynamic is that she still treats him even though she knows who he really is and she doesn’t judge him. With her Luci is the most “honest” even though he misinterprets what she… Read more »
Lucifer is a great new show. Excellent writing with lots of plot twists. Tom Ellis is perfect for the role of the devil. Please don’t cancel – looking forward to see what happens next!!!
I love the show. Don’t cancel
I love the sense of humor they have added to the show. So many shows toss in sex to sell it, Lucifer sellsit on talent. Great actors and writers. Lucifer and IZomvie are some of the better written shows of lately. I’m hopingfor many more seasons of Lucifer.
Please don’t cancel Lucifer it is the best show that has been on in years. Tom Ellis is a wonderful actor he is witty and charismatic. To bad for the bible thumpers I am catholic and my husband and I watch this show all the time. If you don’t like it then don’t watch. Very refreshing.

The show certainly addresses theological issues but doesn’t hit us over the head with a sledge hammer.
